The room does need a bit of a face lift and the mattress definitely needs changing.

The Staff were absolutely lovely. From our check-in experience, breakfast, dinner, housekeeping, and to check-out...the staff were great. Made the stay a lovely experience.

Hotel is old, and furniture is probably from Olympic games 1956 😀 Garage is on underground level of the hotel, but not so convenient. As well, it is quite expensive (20 eur/day).

Very clean room and bathroom, towels were changed every day. Breakfast is really fantastic with several different freshly made juices. Location is very central to enjoy charming city center walking and shopping. Ski bus is above the hotel, a few minutes walk by stairs.

The person at the front desk (which is the most lasting impression when going to a hotel and also one of the most important) didn’t have a kind and welcoming attitude. She gave us an ironic smile and made us feel awkward as if we weren’t paying costumers and we didn’t deserve being treated as clients.

This hotel is close to the bus that comes and goes from/to Marco Polo (venice’s Airport), in the center of town. It’s nice to have a drink and a meal after going skiing and not having to take a car or walking too much. Near shops and in general in a beautiful mountain town. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, bed wear and towels in great condition.

Seriously, my husband and I have been asking how does Hotal Alaska got the "4 stars"? We walked around in downtown while kids went skiing, and went into Hotal Cortina and they showed us the rooms and the suites. That's is called 4 stars, the room, the furniture, the lobby. We will stay in Hotel Cortina next time. That is no doubt. As for Hotel Alaska, the hotel is very very old. The furniture, the carpet, the curtain, and my god, the TV is so small. TV in one of our room is not even working. Also, it was indicated in the website that lobby has Game room. Well, no game room can be found. Wifi was acceptable during the first 2 days of our stay because non peak season, later on, the wifi is getting slower and slower. Even in the lobby. I rated it as 2 to 2.5 stars non international standard.

The breakfast was good enough for us, crispy croissants, but I hope they don't sprinkle all with sugar. Freshly squeeze vegetable and fruit juice is a bonus! Location is very central.

We booked for two adults, two kids and got a huge room (approx. 35 sqm?) - so enough floor for the kids to unpack their toys. But the interior of the room was extremely old, dark and without any love - on the level of a 2-star hotel, not more. We were disappointed for 200EUR for a night incl. breakfast

The hotel may be planning a total over haul towards Cortina Ski Championship planned few years later. Classic, and nice, however too worn out. Excellent location to look at the Toffana Peak, but from the bus stop, too many steps yet too close for hiring taxi. Awkward.

Some employees such as Gabriel and his female manager had really tried their best to cope with our immediate issue in the room: consistent unknown noise. during night time, that turned out to be from the kitchen electric fans. He was very sincere to everyone in spite of the hotel atmosphere was sort of almost hostile towards foreign visitors. Might be caused by too many visitors to Cortina? Or, some previous tourists really had no manner...who knows. Sad situation, but there is always good people.

Not offered at all. It was an expensive stay but, I am afraid poor service.

No wi fi in room which I thought was poor for a four star hotel. You had to go to lobby to access wifi which was inconvenient when needing to contact Australia in early hours of morning due to time difference. Even then wifi speed was very slow. This needs improvement.

The breakfasts were very disappointing. The croissants were stale most of the time. There was very little choice in terms of cereal and the bread was uninspiring! Lots of cakes though - made it look like English Tea Time though! However, the bacon and eggs were welcomed by our four offspring but overall a tad boring. There was one poor lady who had to stand behind a juicer all breakfast. Perhaps more time should be spent on getting the basics right before introducing trendy new gizmos!!

Wi-Fi is NOT available in the rooms - and only a very slow public wi-fi is available in the reception area. Given that the local government building has satellite connections across the road - it's time for the hotel to get with the digital age. The location is great once you get there, but if using bus transport, you need to get luggage down and up several flights of stairs from the bus station. Hard bed needs an optional foam or pillow topper for the matress.

Breakfast was poor, not because of variety of the food but quantity. They give limited amount of cheese. When cheese, bread or egg is run out they don't add more of them. You had to order tea/coffee every time you want and it took 10 mins to get one, especially when it is crowded. They don't add more food when it is run out. So, you should be in the breakfast early in the morning otherwise you may remain hungry. We asked 1 extra shampoo since we were 3 people in the room. They asked us why we need extra shampoo. This is the first time I have faced with this question..

Ski room was difficult to get into as you had to press a buzzer for reception to let you in which they didnt always do

Good location in the centre of Cortina, opposite bus station.

No kettle in your room Staff have no idea how to make tea No tea making facilities, have to order from the bar staff who don't know how to make a white tea. Not their fault, they are Italian, just give guests a kettle or hot water- problem fixed, happy guests!!

One of the two small elevators didn't work, the wifi connoction broke down all the time. Coffee was bad.

The staff was most friendly, the location is fantastic (between city centre and bus station), the rooms are very spacy with a great view. The breakfast is good with freshly squeezed juice!

Furniture are absolutely outdated... the sofas must date back to the 90ies, maybe 80ies..? But all was clean, so I guess the need of refurbishing explains the fair price. Wifi was a pain as we needed to re-input the password again and again..

Had a suite style room with bedroom and living room plus a balcony - lots of space. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was fabulous after a week of rifugios ;) Location is great - just walking distance to the shopping street and aperitif :) Value for money is fair!

    The wifi is very slow.

The staff at reception were fantastic. I have stayed in many hotels but the staff at the Domina Alaska were a step above any I have ever met. So friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I will be back.

After an initial misunderstanding which was dealt with superbly by staff our room was huge, comfortable and very relaxing. Staff were personable, friendly and very helpful loaning us their phone charger for the night having lost one en route. Location was 30m from the main street which was perfect.

Breakfast was the same every morning and dinner only from 7:30 pm- 9pm (all restaurants around town are closed between 2pm and 7pm). No coffee/tea maker. Expensive parking.

Superior rooms are spacious and comfortable with a big bed, 3 pull-out couches, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies and a very nice view of the mountains. Walking distance to a gondola and ski bus stop, close to many restaurants and shops. Free wifi in room and lobby, helpful staff, fire place in the lobby.
