Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandFinding the hotel was absolutely Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. It is not marked that well and we had to do several back-ups. It's very confusing to find. A friend and I booked what we thought was their top level suite with balcony and extra space for a sitting room/sleeping area. What we actually got was a window with a sea view, and a collapsible chair that turned into a tiny twin bed. Additionally, we are a couple of old gals and the walk to the room was up, up and up and up, with little or no handrails along the climb. That was a big challenge for us (though a staff member brought up the luggage), so make sure when you book if you have any mobility issues.
This hotel had the best restaurant of any that we visited after two weeks eating in Italian hotel restaurants — so definitely do eat there. The day-time staff in the lunch/bar area were delightful, helpful and treated us very well. The pool is a saltwater pool, so that was a nice surprise and the lounge chairs, etc. were also nice. Overall, the hotel was good value for money. It is a family-oriented hotel, so if giggling (screaming) kids aren't your thing, perhaps chose somewhere with adults only. That said, I think Italian children are very well behaved.

AustraliaThe food was good, but quite over priced compared to the rest of Sardinia/Italy. The wine was… terrible. For £10 per glass we expected much better. The wine was poor quality, and old, like it had been opened for more than a week. We tried 3 different glasses of wine and didn’t finish them.
It’s a fantastic location, and beautiful rooms, right on the waterfront. the staff were friendly and helpful.

FranceJacuzzi is not a jacuzzi : no bubbles and same temperature than the pool. One employee was definitely not friendly : check-out time, heavy rain, you ask for an umbrella and you get a poor answer "we are not a shop", ok, well... This is not online with a 4 stars hotel staff. Room was not smelling so good : feel musty.
Hotel is looking like to a small and nice village : buildings, garden, port... Very nice breakfast, large choice... but a waiter will serve you. We got a better room than the booked one.

United KingdomThe hotel is 2.5 miles outside Porto Rotondo, with no public transport infrastructure. The taxi journey costs €25 (for 2 miles!) or you can walk along a busy, road taking 45 minutes. There is nothing within walking distance - no bars, restaurants or shops. This means you are tied to eating the hotel's pretty ordinary menu costing €50 per person for evening meal. From October onwards everything in Porto Rotondo seems to close down for the winter, reducing amenities even further. The hotel is breathtakingly expensive - €10 for a beer, and €14 for a g&t, as well as €50 for dinner as mentioned. Although only about 15 km away, taxis to Olbia cost €55. The staff can be serious at best, verging on surly on occasion, especially the waiting staff in the bar and restaurant. If you want to experience the real (affordable) Sardinia, I suggest you stay in the south of the island. Costa Smeralda - whilst undoubtedly beautiful - is entirely geared towards a rich clientele with plenty of money to waste
The location is beautiful, overlooking a quiet, scenic Bay. Very peaceful spot. The rooms were very clean, and towels changed daily. Breakfast is an extensive buffet with an excellent choice of food. The sea is easily accessible and wonderful to swim in.

FranceJust one detail : the rooms have very thin walls - we could hear our neighbors speaking loudly on their phones late at night (no soundproofed rooms) + dragging of chairs, etc and it's a bit difficult to find the place on arrival the first time since there's not a lot of signaling outside. Be sure you have a car and GPS to get here!
The food here is AMAZING, delicious and very well presented. We were delighted with their food service in general, both breakfast and dinner. Also the views from the hotel and our room were great, the gardens perfectly well maintained, plenty of sun loungers everywhere and great attention from all the staff, everyone was very professional, friendly and discreet. The salt-water swimming pool is FANTASTIC! We thoroughly enjoyed it! We'll be back for sure!

PolandThe staff cleaned our room twice even though we left the sign not to disturb us, and the last morning a cleaning lady wanted to start cleaning our room 8 AM, when we were still in bed sleeping with our terrace opened.
Nice views, quiet & chill, not too busy so it was just alright for us to relax

United KingdomIt was expensive for what it was, and the restaurant was extremely overpriced. For example, tomato soup was €25, omelette with blue cheese was €25... You need a car as it is far from anywhere.
Comfortable but small room with a lovely view of the bay and a nice patio area to sit on and relax and watch the view. Friendly staff and a nice big pool with lots of sun lounges, beautiful gardens and easy access to the beach where there are more sun loungers.

Czech RepublicAccomodion and food is overpriced. You are on Costa Smeralda so you pay for location. Bar staff sometimes forget your order but they are all nice and friendly 🙂.
Nice location, private beach, enough sunbeds for all guests around the pool and also on the besch. Mels were good but not extraordinary. You cannot walk to the nearby villages as this is isolated area.
