Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe bathroom was small considering the size of the room, but in saying that, it did the job.
Very spacious room and the location was fantastic. Reception hours were limited, but they were accommodating for late arrivals and responsive on whatsapp if you needed anything.

AustraliaThe walls are thin so if you're a light sleeper - bring ear plugs. I'm not a light sleeper but could still hear the main doors opening and closing.
Great location, not too far walk from Roma Termini. Also walkable distance to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Room was comfortable. There is a small fridge in the room which is appreciated. Coffee is also available in the common area. The staff were very friendly and responsive. The reception is only attended at certain hours, but it's no problem as they can be reached on Whatsapp.

United Statesno complaints, was really nice.
Location close to Termini Train station and close to historical sights was absolutely perfect. We will stay here again when we come to Rome again. Employees are really nice and very helpful. Beds were comfortable. Stayed here twice. Front rooms a bit noisy from Traffic, rooms in back were very quiet. Found some great restaurants nearby.

United Arab EmiratesThe lift wasn't working for one of the evenings we were there and walking 3 flights of stairs wasn't much fun, but it was sorted out more or less straight away. When we arrived the safe in the room wasn't working, but again as soon as it was reported it was resolved. We liked everything!
We stayed in a good size family room that was clean and comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful. There are little living rooms in each of the 4 areas which we used each night to spend time with another family. Overall we had a good experience and would certainly consider this hotel again if we decide to come back to Rome.

AustraliaUnsure if this is how it is in Italy (though we didn't experience this anywhere else) the doona/ duvet was open.. it just had two sheets, one below and one above. Not very sanitary.
Great hotel!! Easy check in process. Very close walk to the main train station ( Roma Termini )

United StatesI'm not sure if it's because we booked through booking instead of directly but we never received check-in instruction and reception closes at 1:30 pm. We had other family members that arrived a few days before us who gave us the number to contact which then Andrew replied and gave us all the instructions. My cousin who booked directly through them received a lot of communication so maybe I was just missed/ a one off. I also think it would be nice to have reception open in the afternoon but whenever we needed anything we could Whatsapp the staff in the afternoon. But for people checking in it's more of a self check in.
The location is pretty central. More local vibe than tourist vibe. Great places walking distance and really close to the train station Roma Termini. We had a wonky start to the stay but it all worked out, the staff, specifically Andrew and Christina, were so kind and present throughout the stay (in the mornings/early afternoon). The facilities were nice. Always smelled good. The bathrooms were spacious. The beds comfortable and if sharing a bed with someone you don't feel the other moving in the night. The air conditioning worked well. There's an elevator. There is a nice big closet and luggage stands. There are 4 living rooms total for guests to hang out in which was really nice for our group who had multiple rooms. Coffee and tea and cookies in the common area. And there was a vending machine too.

RussiaAt the very beginning it was a bit cold in the room/bathroom but we used air conditioner and it was fine. It would be great to have tea/coffee in the room.
Perfect location with a view on Santa Maria Maggiore, incredible and beautiful Basilica! Close to the railway station but at the same time - 15min walk to Colosseo, Foro Romano and other sights. Self check-in is pretty easy, all the instructions including video were shared by the hosts. We saw a receptionist only once to settle the bill :) The room was clean with a shared kitchen zone nearby. Lots of cafe and restaurants are around, nice places to have breakfast. We came back to the room only to sleep :)

United StatesThe elevator capacity said 8 people and we were 7 and got stuck inside for 20-25 minutes but Sal was on top of it and responded immediately and got us out. Also we are not large people. Max weight in our party was about 170 pounds and 5 foot 11 inches.
Friendly staff, great location, very clean room and was large!

United StatesThe common area could have been more inviting. It was unusual to have a space away from the room to sit and lounge, and a big bonus to have a kitchen area to make something hot to drink. However, I feel that a different furniture setting would improve the use of the space.
I loved the location of Domus Liberius. As a female, solo traveler I felt very safe getting to and from the property. Close to all the main attractions yet away from the crowds of people. My single room was small yet felt roomy with the high, dome-like ceilings. The bathroom was updated and spacious. The host was friendly and imparted a great sightseeing route around the city that was so worth it.
