Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaThe breakfast was a little bit chaotic.
Very nice location, newly renovated. The room was comfortable and there was no problem with the dog.

United KingdomClearly they are mid refit / refurb and still selling the old rooms on booking.com. New lift ( previous review mentions out of use ) and new room doors / locks etc - so new that numbers were taped on when we arrived and replaced by a new number plate on day one. Fixtures and fittings functional but worn out. Shiny taps worn to the under metal , not just a little but over the whole thing. Functional though. Shower over bath , no fixing or curtain to allow a stand up bath , had to sit in bath and shower - no good if poor mobility. Not sure air con / heating functional - fortunately not needed. Beds surprisingly ok though. Breakfast taken in the cafe bar next door. Don’t be mislead by the breakfast room photos. Variety good. Quality very meh. Supermarket cheapest standard ham and cheese for instance pastries ok if lucky enough to get a fresh warm one but otherwise. Not good . Coffee great but you had to ask for it to be made and the lady was both very busy and a bit grumpy. In summary would I stay again - when it’s done up and running the breakfast room pictured absolutely. Currently - no. Probably not. I’m a very tolerant traveller many would have not put up with the fact that isn’t just tired , it’s worn out. The refurbed rooms will be nice I’m sure though as the doors etc are lovely.
Great location.

AustraliaRooms are very basic, you don't get a lot of amenities. Instructions on how to operate the window shutters would have been helpful as it took a bit to figure out.
This might be a 3-star hotel, but service was 5-stars. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Spoke perfect English, helped us with our train tickets and attractions. Room was also very generously sized.

United States of AmericaI didn't enjoy being right at the Santo where all the crowds are and the surrounding restaurants are pretentious and expensive. I didn't realize the location would be right in the most touristy area of Padova. Other than that the hotel itself was wonderful. Front desk staff were very helpful, professional and warm.
The breakfast was outstanding. The staff were accomodating, only 2 staff for many people. It was very nice having a wonderful breakfast to start the day

United KingdomThe breakfast was disappointing. On our first morning we came down at 08.00 and the second at 09.00. On both occasions the scrambled eggs had run out and were not replaced while we were there.
The hotel is in a good location for exploring the old city on foot. We arrived early but Manuel greeted us and helped to guide us into the extremely tight car park. We checked-in later. The room was pleasant with a nice view of the piazza but we had difficulty getting the air-conditioning to work. Manuel was again available to help us get out of the car park when we left.

United States of AmericaThe facility needs some maintenance. It is an older 4 or maybe 5 star hotel that has received little refurbishing in probably 30 years (e.g. bathroom was reasonably new but the wallpaper in our room was falling off).
Fantastic location. Overall it was clean. Very friendly staff especially in the bar / restaurant downstairs that carries the same name of the hotel.

United States of AmericaThe location is a plus or a minus. It's directly opposite the beautiful Basilica of St. Anthony on the south end of the old town of touristic interest. That makes it a pretty long walk from the train station.
My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Good lighting enabled reading in bed. The mattress was comfortable; the pillow not so much. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. In room wi-fi worked well. Nice breakfast in the morning.

GermanyWe felt maybe that the hotel has been hit by COVID times as a few things needed updated (some newer bed covers for example).

United KingdomThe room was a slightly noisy in the evening, the shower spurted in different directions and there were hand towels instead of bath towels but I am assuming that was an error. (Just small things that wouldn't affect the stay too much)
The staff are wonderful; always smiling and ready to help at any time. The room was clean, spacious and the TV had all the apps which isn't always the case when travelling. Most importantly, the location is essentially perfect. A beautiful 10 minute walk to the city centre and adjacent to the historic St Antonio's Basilica. I have stayed here twice before to visit friends and will do so again.
