Hotel Duomo is a great hotel, the staff is absolutely wonderful, the location cannot be beat and they offer a great breakfast. After we made a mistake, the gentleman at the reception explained how to take our car right to the front of the hotel to drop off the luggage and then he took the car to the parking lot. Everything worked great, we loved Hotel Duomo and we can recommend it to anyone visiting Orvieto.

Stairs from piazza to hotel a little tough with luggage. No fault of the hotel.

Staff very helpful and accomodating. Great location near Duomo, shops and restaurants. Elevator available. Breakfast with savory and sweet items, and cappuccino made upon request. Room spacious and clean.

The family who own and run the hotel are lovely people - friendly, very helpful. Breakfast was great, the location was terrific, the room was comfortable and quiet.

Not the hotel’s fault, but Google maps gave us very poor directions. We finally had to park and walk to the hotel and ask how to get there through the small streets. We wished we had been warned that it was a little tricky to get to.

Good breakfast with plenty of selection. Clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I am putting this comment here but also concede that it may be something done In Europe that I just would not have expected. I booked via an app that automatically put two would be staying but I didn’t realise. When I got to my room there were two pairs of slippers. I put my bag down and basically went out exploring. When I returned , a pair of slippers were gone. Clearly someone came into the room and took the extra pair . I’m not comfortable with that. A simple request could have been made to return a pair. But as I said, maybe something done in Europe and it’s not a big deal . So whilst I wasn’t comfortable I don’t want to make it a negative comment if it is just how it is done here. The only other thing is the shower screen wasnt clean. For the price I would have expected a clean screen.

If a word “suite” means two rooms (sitting and sleeping) and a bathroom then their Junior Suite is not a suite. It is a bedroom and a bathroom. The “ garden view’ does not exist. Their is no garden. See photo. The “terrace” is modest and in winter it is not even accessible. The city view from our Junior Suite was also unimpressive. The breakfast was good but nothing hot was offered. There is closer parking than the hotel recommended. The bed pillows were flat, hard and uncomfortable.

The room was very nice, staff very helpful, breakfast was fantastic, and we were especially thankful that the hotel explained (in advance, by email) how to drive the the hotel, and then provided valet parking so our time negotiating tiny streets was kept to a minimum.

Great location in the historic centre. We booked a junior suite. Older style but charming family run hotel. Used the valet service; was be to drive car to hotel and drop off luggage. Comfortable bed and soft linen. Decent spread for breakfast.
