Top bunks are way too hot. The AC is stuck at 24°C. Honestly, it’s almost impossible to get a good night’s sleep up there.

The bathrooms were sometimes smelly due to the wet mat but never unclean.

Spacious and clean rooms. Low crowd, because there are only 2 dorm rooms. Never had to wait to use toilets or baths.

Most of the time the hostel was quiet, but one night the quiet hours (after 10 p.m., which is a standard quiet hour everywhere, in most hostels) weren’t respected: it was still noisy around midnight, and I needed earplugs to sleep... That’s something quite important in a hostel.

Everything was perfect – great value for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I think it was a bit hot in the bedroom at times, but the staff don't have control of the air-conditioning as and they said it is all automatic. Some fruits would be a great addition to the breakfast!

The staff was great, the volunteer girls were lovely! the location is very near the center. The beds are very good, very large and their are built in the wall, so you don't feel anything if the person above/below you move! Also the curtains and the plug for each bed is great. Toilets were clean and not so busy.

Since it was my first time in a hostel I had many questions upon arriving. This wasn't appreciated. My friends noticed I wasn't treated the same as the rest of the visitors during my stay. Then again the owner Gabriel was incredibly nice but he doesn't work many shifts.

First time in a hostel I found it fairly clean and everything I needed was there.. it says on the website that there's wifi everywhere but you have to pay for wifi in the rooms.

No outlets by the bed, just USB so if you don’t have the classic USB is a bit hard to charge your phone or other electronic devices. Only 2 showers and 2 toilets for the whole place, which is fine for the amount of people but gets a little stinky by the end of the day (no windows). Lockers are free but they ask for a €10 deposit that should be cash so no cash no locker.

the beds are really good and keep your privacy. it also has a small container to keep your stuff and a tiny table which is amazing! Breakfast is simple but great for the price. Well located, super close to the city center but at the same time a bit far from chaos.

wifi was really bad. I could even find the network on the room. Also, the bad that was assigned to me, was the only one without curtain :/ I just spend some hours there, so this was fine. But it would be inconvenient in case I would spend the night there.

Staff was super kind and helpful. Hostel is super close to the city center. All facilities were clean and cozy.

My only suggestion would be to improve the breakfast selection—adding items like vegetables, fruits, and cheese would make it more satisfying, especially after a long day of sightseeing.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were not only helpful and friendly but also exceptionally pleasant and attractive.

I'd have preferred a female only dorm rather than mixed, but this seems to be the future of most hostels. The second night the rather large German traveller snored thru the night, it hindered sleep somewhat. The toilet being downstairs, meant my nightly trips to the loo, were negotiating stairs whilst half-asleep. Sadly, I discovered my mattress was moldy. I explained to the staff, but the hostel was fully booked, so not able to exchange it. I covered it with extra sheets and tried not to think about it too much.

I was really happy with the location, off a side street, with no passing traffic, so it was calm and quiet overnight. The hostel has a no shoe policy in the rooms, so no clomping noises in the night. Large boxes with privacy curtains, USB port, private light and folding shelf. Oversized comfortable mattresses. Timed lighting (keeping the bedrooms dark after hours). There was no bar and a curfew of 01.30hrs, so it helped for sleeping. Interesting, sociable, friendly volunteers, lots of areas to sit, eat, gather or play games, ping-pong or darts. Plus a lounge area to watch films if you desired. Also had a small outdoor seating area.

In slight need of repair. Folding bedside table was partly broken and over extended. Dorm door had seen better days. Towels not included but perhaps that's normal for a hostel (available at extra charge). Had to give cash to be held on deposit to have access to a locker which was only a little annoying as it was my first night and didn't have cash and the first ATM I went to withheld my card. Notwithstanding this still a nice stay and would come again!

My first time solo in a hostel and felt safe and comftable (beds were wider and longer than a standard single). Breakfast was simple but nice. The general vibe of the hostel is fun

Great value, a welcoming environment and great attitude. It was our first day in Catania, and it has a nice common space, good vibe and very convenient location. Parking nearby was easy in March.

The hostel is located very close to the fish market and other city's sightings. Some may find the area a bit sketchy, but I liked it, didn't feel unsafe (but I haven't come back late). A warm welcome from the staff; a lot of volunteers hanging around. There are two dorms upstairs with bunk beds. Every bed has its own curtain and a small lamp which is great. During my stay all the guests were respecting others' needs and they stay quiet in the evening. Breakfast included (but it wasn't to my taste, so I drunk only filter coffee; espresso/cappuccino is extra paid; but there are many other places nearby where you can get a good coffee and pastry (if you like to start your day like this)). All the bathrooms are downstairs which may be considered as a flaw, but some folks (myself included) may find it as an advantage (no fuzz upstairs).

The staff was AMAZING--so friendly and helpful, and they helped us with an early check in. They also had amazing recommendations in the area. The hostel was such a cool space, and it was in an amazing location; it was easy to access from the airport and near many of the main attractions in town.
