Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Everything was ok
I stayed for just one night. The location is perfect for anyone needing to leave by train or bus the next day, as both are nearby. It’s also within walking distance of the city center. I walked alone late in the evening and very early in the morning and felt completely safe. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Check-in was quick and easy, and Matteo was always friendly and available to help.

The shower had lot of limescale.
I stayed for one night, the host opened the door for me during the night remotely, the room has a vibe! Great price for value.

A bit noisy on week-end nights, not because of the place itself but because there is lot of traffic on the streets around the building

Absolutely perfect stay! I had a wonderful time at this apartment – everything was exactly as described, and even better! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was ideal – close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, always quick to respond and made me feel very welcome. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a perfect holiday experience. I can’t wait to come back!

property is close to the train station. If walking from the train station use the accessible wide footpath and cross at the crosswalk to get to the property. This is not a B&B as advertised and should be reflected on the description.

Great location, walking distance to all the sites. The BnB is based in an old building and the owners kept the charm of it inside as well. The room was clean and cozy. Matteo (the host) was very friendly and forthcoming, especially with our super late check-in

It is very close to the Ali bus stop to the airport. I liked the old style elevator and the building, the furniture in the hall.There is a great gelateria and pizza place just a couple of hundred meters away. Getting in upon arrival was well organized.

The keys are a little difficult to use. The locks are old. But that’s it, this property is great value for money
Very good location, the staff were amazing, beyond helpful. It’s very safe, I was a female travelling alone and never felt unsafe. Property is extremely clean and the room was well fitted out.

no staff on site to provide entry to property. self entry was very frustrating arriving late at night and not knowing which door to enter. courtyard locks were difficult to open, even for the local tenants. a bit loud in the morning with traffic from the main road. breakfast is basic. make your own coffee/tea with packaged crackers and packaged pastries (great cafe on the corner).
a beautiful and spacious room with a very large and comfortable bed. renovated bathroom with a shower cubicle. common room with a small kitchenette. very close to the main street leading to the Elephant and Duomo area. gratis bottles of water in the common room fridge

Nothing. I am going back in two weeks.
There is very little sign of staff and you are left to get on with life at your own pace. There is a kitchen with lots of Italian breakfast cakes or there is a very good pastry shop across the road.

The building housing the apartments is a bit old, but the apartments themselves are very clean and modern. Location is very close to the train station and roughly 10-15 minutes from the city center. I'd stay here again.

The noise from the street. The windows make no difference if you keep them shut or open, you hear the garbage truck at 6 am, the noises from the street...

The wifi did not work in our room and even in the common areas it was very spotty. We had an issue with batteries in our remotes that was solved very quickly.
The location was nice and close to downtown. The room was very large with a comfy bed. The best part was the kitchen area with snacks and water.

I was very pleased of this place, really easily accessible by public transport and short walk to the center. Lovely old house, fanny keychain and nice staff. Maybe again in the october.

The host did not leave any toilet paper in the room and only left one set of towels for two people. I texted him for the check out time and he replied 5hours later at 1am.
