The fact that the parking place is quite far on foot, makes it not the most convenient place when you have limited walking availability. Put more pictures about the rooms!

Bad wifi signal upstairs. Very noisy, I mean one night family fighting at 3 am! In general you have to take it as it is for this money.

Close to downtown, if you are looking for nightlife time in Ferrara.

My room was across the road from the main room. The WIFI would not work there. I needed 3 keys to get in and out. The corridor lights on a timer went out before I could get the key organised.

    - wifi from main building was weak while the key we've got didn't work for local repeater.

The place looks as family-owned business. We were met by senior guy who seemed have a bit of trouble with English but with his hospitality patience and attitude that wasn't trouble at all. He explained where we can park and places to visit for dinner & wine during almost night time we've arrived. We've got a room in house on other side of the street which was quite spacious and with its own kitchen. Room had a small terrace outside with a table and chairs - nice in our case it was already dark and cold to sit there. Breakfast was simple (which is common for the area) but good: coffee, juice, yogurt, cookies. The hotel itself is on quiet street with almost no cars. Nearby was a good parking with plenty vacant places for only 2 EUR per 24h. + hospitality + location + parking + room + quiet

Very good position. The room was very large and comfortable and the staff was really kind and friendly. The owner is from Naples and in the restaurant connected to the b&b they make pizza and other typical food that seemed very good.

My room was at the back of a restaurant. A little strange.

The bed was comfy, the shower was quite ok. A pizza place is basically part of the property, so quite convenient.

    Nothing.

I visited Ferrara for cultural and artistic reasons. The location was a good price and close to the Palazzo dei Diamanti. How flaky the croissants were is totally irrelevant.

Molding shower, didn't take a shower, it was that bad. Room Was Uninviting , breakfast starting at 7am, but didn't open till 7:30 with no apologies, if I had a plane I would miss it since they didn't want me to pay evening before, even though I said I need it to leave asap in the morning.

The room was all a bit basic and dark, well used and un-loved. As a lone traveller it was no place of joy, I could not lock the garden door so I had the shutter doors closed for security - never worked out the blinds so had no natural light in the room all week.

Well located and they made an effort to respond to any needs. Some days the breakfast pastries were great - some days not so great - Alfonso chooses them for you. Alfonso is friendly and helpful but speaks little English, but will speak to you a lot in Italian even if you keep saying you don't understand - he really tries. I asked for a quiet room and got it - the courtyard room across the road. His daughter Laura speaks good English but is only available when the Pizza takeaway is open, she is very friendly and helpful..

    • Leisure trip

As you look for the address of your b&b, you eventually find yourself in renassaince suburb of the medieval town, a very quiet place indeed and reminescent of peaceful autumn days in this ancient, charming town. That is, until far in the midst you spot the sign of a restaurant and take-away advertising a new kind of patended pizza, "panuozzo", whose main features appears to be that it is big and it lacks tomato sauce. The address you were looking for is right next to the sign - in fact, you realise in horror that it is the very same address. You summon your courage and ring the bell. And nothing happens. You repeat your attemps until a sleepy voice answers your call: - yes? You say you have a reservation. And it is now that you hear the wonderful motto which gives this review its title. - Ah, vabbè... In southern varieties of Italian, this is a way of somewhat annoyedly recognising your existence, and the need to get to work that it implies. The landlady appears, and you are showed into a cosy restaurant room which was once a back garden, and was later enclosed by walls on three sides and covered by a roof. The landlady leads you across it, towards a door in the back wall, next to the door of the restaurant restrooms. She opens the door, and: - there you are! That's your room. Big bed, wardrobe, large window, table and armchair, private bathroom. Everything looks fine, until you realise that one of the walls is in fact the paper-thin wall of the restaurant room, and that the window looks out on the tables and the customers eagerly eating their "panuozzo". The same applies to the window in the bathroom. When you timidly point this out to the landlady, she smiles kindly and with a sharp movement pulls down the cosy, light curtains on the window. - no problem! no problem at all! You finally get upset, the landlord appears and tries to convince you that that is his very favourite room in the whole building.
