Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I can highly recommend this hotel as the place to stay. It was close to the railway station and an easy walk to the town centre. The manager, Saimir, was a wonderful Host. He made sure that I had a comfortable relaxed stay. The room was spotless and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was wholesome and complete

Very noisy, you hear everything. They were renovating, and from 8am, you hear all the tools. The bathroom was leaking water. Bathroom ventilator is very noisy. There is no refill for the biscuits, sugar, etc. Light is not enough. Staff not friendly.
Location is superb, in the heart of everything and next to train station. Room is big.

The reception closes at 9pm and not 10pm as indicated. There was an issue on communicating through the chat and I find myself calling the z hotel number while in front of the close gate. Since I hadn’t any information on how to access, When eventually enter my keys was on the reception desk with my name written that every one could read, not compliant with GDPR. I wasn’t able to see any tv channels.I left without seeing anyone in reception and they request after a personal document

Room service didn't replace complimentary tea / coffee. Room was sprayed with a perfume that irritated my wife's sinuses.
Perfect location near main rail station. Short easy walk to main tourist attractions. Laundromat nearby. Very friendly and helpful hotel receptionists.

Air conditioning could be better
Apartment is in city centre, within walking distance to all most famos places. We were ofered a parking 20 euro per night which is quite good. We got really big room, with comfy bet, smart TV, small fridge. Personel was very polite. We got normal brekfast which we had rto take to our room.

Entrance, up two floors from a gloomy vestibule and in an old-style lift, doesn’t inspire confidence, and corridors are small, but the room was fine, if with no view.
Location ideal for the railway station yet quiet. Breakfast fine but you collect it from a counter and take it to your room. Room very well equipped (especially the bathroom) for its size. Very friendly welcome and very helpful, speaks English well.

The location was fantastic. Easy walking distance to all the sites. Very clean and quiet even though it overlooked a busy street. The staff were extremely helpful. Yes and coffee making facilities in the room.

Just a small detail, the aircon equipment maybe needs a filter cleaning. But that's all, everything was great.
The hotel has a superb location! Just a few blocks from the central station. After that, is a walking distance from the main cultural landmarks. It's close to supermarkets, restaurants, souvenir shops, leather bags and apparel stores, laundry service shop. We love that the hotel offers to use a microwave and some items for coffee making for free. Also there is a kettle, cups and tea bags in your room. The size of the room is really comfortable, the beds also great. Our room was facing an inner backyard so we didn't hear any street noises. Also, the staff is really friendly and always have a great disposition to help!

I stayed in room 2 and the rainfall shower head was broken so only water gushed from one corner and water didn’t drain well from the shower basin.
Location was perfect walking distance to all main attractions, shops, restaurants and train station. Room was spacious and aircon was great (much needed in 37°).
