Beautiful location in Val Gardena. Highly professional staff. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Afternoon snacks an extra bonus. All facilities are first class.

I wish we had gotten a bit more information regarding the site amenities. Some were shared but with language challenges, it took us time to understand what was offered and never really felt we understood the rules.

Meals were exceptional and comfortable. Took a few days to get the routine but thoroughly enjoyed the staff, food, and stay.

Five-course dinners every day get a bit tiring after a while, but that’s a “me” problem ;) Would be maybe a bit too expensive for us without the discount we got on Booking.com

Perfect location. Very quiet and close to trail heads. Really chill atmosphere, nice lounge. Super helpful and friendly staff, good efficient service. Nice bar and drinks. Very nice breakfast, too. We had half-board and dinners were quite a thing! Tremendous presentation, good variety and tasty food. Basically everything quite nice.

A breathtaking gem on the hills of Selva di Val Gardena . An amazing property with great staff, great food and a warm atmosphere. They pay attention to the smallest details and make sure that you have the most relaxing trip ever .

It was a steep climb up the hill to the hotel from the main street with only a limited bus service.

There were beautiful views from the hotel. The food and service were excellent. Staff attentive and helpful.

The dinner was great that was included in the rate. There were 5 courses dinner for every night we stayed. The chef did great job on cooking and food presentation. Our room view was great looking at the valley.

Nothing that we did not like - hotel is located on a bit of distance from center, but quick to bring and pick-up to go to the slopes. Slightly long walk in the evening if you want to get back from Selva - but great shuttle service

Plenty of hot water, but the shower temperature did vary before stabilising, presumably when someone else turned on their water and no bath. Not as close to the village centre as expected (long walk up a hill on the way back). Although cakes were free when you got back off the slopes, you still had to pay for a cup of tea.

Great breakfast. Quiet location. Clean and bright, recently refurbished room. Large ski and boot room with excellent shuttle to the 2 main ski lifts. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Dinner was included in the price and was generally very good. Some nice refreshments were available when we got back from skiing at teatime. Would certainly go back.

It’s not ski in ski out at all as advertised in certain sections of booking.com but perhaps this is a technical error on the lodges behalf. Maybe a 10 minute walk into town and 10 minutes back up a steep hill. Luckily the free shuttle bus driver Bogdan is an absolute legend and will pick you up whenever you need before 5pm :)

The staff were all so kind and accomodating. The rooms are huge and the spa facilities were amazing.

I wish our room had a bath instead of shower, the outdoor hot tub should be hotter and keep it simple with your drinks at the bar.

Beautiful, clean rooms. Ski room is spacious and convenient. Bogdan brought us to the lifts and back and was always great company, knowledgable and available. Parking is included and available. The restaurant is unique and quality is exceptional. Views were spectacular. Wait staff is attentive and pleasant. The owner was always available and nice.

Friendly & helpful staff, enough parking spaces, good meals (breakfast and dinner). There is a sauna and a small pool/jacuzzi outside but we never used them.

Originally we had booked just for 3 nights. We ended up cancelling our next stay in Cortina to extend our stay at Hotel Fanes. Truly exceptional experience. Warm and welcoming staff. A very special mention to Andre! His English and sense of humor were appreciated! Mario and the ladies in the dinning room were so kind and professional as well. The food is beyond delicious. Choices offered for half board had something for every palette. Compliments to the chefs! The spa wellness facility was a very welcome treat after long hikes in the mountains. Location is stunning. We loved being up on the hill above town. Quiet setting with fabulous views of the mountains. A nightly stroll after dinner just a few paces up the hill capped off our days. Graci mille! We will return.

Hotel Fanes felt like home away from home. The staff was incredibly helpful with helping us map out our journeys in the Alps each day. The food was exceptional. We’re looking forward to returning.

The beds and pillows were a bit uncomfy but they gave us a new mattress topper to help.

Wonderful family run hotel, very comfortable, quiet and with an amazing view over the town and the surrounding mountains. Very kind and welcoming staff. Also a great starting place for a couple of great hikes. Perfect getaway.

I was told that the restaurant would be able to accommodate a vegan diet. They tried but to our dismay, they did not provide a satisfactory menu. This was unfortunate as the hotel was otherwise superb.

The location and facilities were great. Good parking, a wonderful room and incredible sauna. The hiking and local town were out of sight. The views were divine. The room was very well appointed and housekeeping was perfect.
