Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Beautiful family business on the hills of Crete Senesi. Very charming farm house with spacious rooms in Tuscan style. Excellent restaurant with outstanding wines from the own vineyards, in a beautiful setting. Outstanding friendly service from the entire staff! They make everything work with a big smile. 2 nice swimming pools with view on the Tuscan hills.

No free bottles of water in the room. Expensive inhouse restaurant. You have to pay extra for jacuzzi.
La fattoria is a beautiful historical farmhouse located at a top of a lovely hill with scenic views upon Tuscany. The room was large and confortable. Perfect place to rest and disconnect.

Access was a bit rough on a very rutted road; some of the grounds looked like they needed a bit of upkeep. And no AC during the heatwave was tough.
Staff were friendly and accommodating ; on-site restaurant was fabulous as were the views.

The place is really what I envisioned for a farm in Tuscany. The landscape is beautiful, the buildings are beautiful, and you can walk around the property and feel like you are really in a movie. The breakfast was good, the staff were very nice and the apartment very spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

I really like the way the resort provides everything for the guests to experience traditional Tuscany countryside life. The wine tasting from the winery that also belongs to the owner give very nice tour with their unique history. At the resort, one can also buy the Brunello that the winery produces. The view from the resort is incredibly. The reception and the waiter at the restaurant are super friendly and helpful. Was such a lovely stay. Will definitely come again! And recommend everyone too!

My room was extremely dark and there was no window at eye level. The room amenities could be improved by providing stemmed wine glasses in addition to the water glasses. There is no place on the property to get coffee/espresso during the day.
The view from the property and the activities available were exceptional. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Of course, the wine and food were the stars.

Very beautiful place, the most beautiful in reality compared to the photos on booking. Pools with amazing view (in september almost only for us). Hotels stuff very nice and helpful (flexible check in and check out). Lokalization was perfect close to everything what you need, but if you want there is No reason to leave the hotel because everything is in the place (great restaurant, excelent wine)

The property is sprawling and full of ancient charm. The staff were exceptionally warm and organized various activities for us (free of charge) like archery, a cooking class, and a wine tour and tasting. The food served is all grown locally and it was delightful to taste grapes from the vines hanging all around the property! Plus, the winery is woman owned and operated, and clearly everything is run with a lot of heart.

The wifi was terrible in the apartment we were staying in. This could be a positive if you want to go off the grid since the thickness of the walls meant mobile internet was also very sketchy. There was no AC to control the temperature. We were mostly out and about but this could be a problem if you spend a hot day indoors.
The staff of the hotel were very kind and helpful. I would especially like to note Sylvia who was always smiling, very friendly and had a lot of good recommendations. The views from our apartment were absolutely breathtaking.

The room I was given was NOT the room I booked. It looked nothing like the pictures online. There were bugs everywhere inside the apartment, and the heat barely worked so it was freezing. Breakfast was disappointing.

Accommodation was very basic, uncomfortable, and noisy. We could hear everything that happened in the upstairs apartment. Kitchen equipment was minimal. We arrived only just after office hours, but no one took the trouble to welcome us.
Good location. Pool good early morning but crowded later. Electric car charging point was a plus. Grounds clean and well cared for.

unfortunately we came the day after they had a big wedding so the restaurant, spa and other facilities were closed when we came and we haven’t seen any other guests. they recommend another restaurant 10 min away but the restaurant canceled our reservation and said they unexpectedly closed that day. we only had 2 days in Tuscany so we ended up moving hotels to get the best out of our vacation.
the property is beautiful and staff is THE BEST!
