Some of the staff at reception were not helpful...some were very helpful! Why when I asked about water transport was I not directed to Ca'D'Oro 160ft from the hotel? We found it but by ourselves.

Beautiful location...close to a vaporetto stop. Staff doing the rooms were wonderful as were the breakfast staff.

There's a charge of 10 euro for sitting on the terrace which I have never experienced in a hotel before especially a 4 star hotel. We met a couple who have stayed there for many years, they were shocked especially as they hadn't been asked to pay. It was very upsetting to be shouted at by one of the breakfast waiters when I brought my coffee out there after breakfast. This charge is not explained on the hotel listing. The reception staff were gruff and unfriendly, apart from the two young girls who were lovely. When we asked for a drink from the bar the first evening we were told there was no red wine....in Italy of all places. We asked again another evening and were told the bar was closed. This is not clear either on the hotel listing. Would not say it deserved its 4 star rating.

Very kind staff, we could check-in earlier, the room was so spacious with big bathroom and a bath. View right to the Canal Grande. A localization next to the vaporetto stop and the main street to the San Marco and Rialto. Nice breakfast.

Staff were not responsive on the Booking.com messaging system. I would recommend calling or emailing the location to be sure. Note the city tax as well (which is normal!) - this is 4.50 Euro per person per night!

Breakfast was plentiful and all staff were incredibly helpful. It was a pleasure to stay at this location, and it is well placed to access most of the main attractions, yet still in a relatively quiet area!

Some issues with the sink and bidet - the plug/plunger in both didn't work. leaving sink full of water unable to drain away.

We found it to be a little bit dated and in need of an update with the upholstery and linen especially. The bathrooms where also not pristine clean. Our room faced a wall so sadly we did not get the view we had expected.

The location was amazing and the hotel itself was very cute. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff where very helpful when we booked in. We loved how you could take a water taxi right to the front step.

The only improvement I would say is on the breakfast. It’s nice that it was included in our stay but it was a bit underwhelming. For context in American so I don’t ever really expect the greatest from Europe breakfasts but I felt they’re room to improve. The coffee wasn’t great and the eggs were like custard/jello. The pastries didn’t taste fresh.

The overall stay was good. We only stayed 2 nights for New Year and booked last minute but everything went well. The location is perfect to get around Venice and you have a gondola rides right next to the hotel. The room was clean and the beds were nice. Overall my wife and I were happy with our stay.

Room was too hot & stuffy we just couldn’t get the temperature to cool down firstly with the air con and then we had to try with the windows open , there was no natural light , I did message to ask for a room facing the campo well in advance of our stay but they didn’t reply , no mini bar ( we had a mini fridge but it wasn’t stocked ) safe wouldn’t work , kept showing an error message , it would have been nice to have a complimentary bottle of water in the room as a gesture , roof Terrance wasn’t accessible because the steps up were unsafe

I liked it all, maybe I would have expected any courtesy bottle of water in the room as we hired the suite but minibar was empity when we arrived.

It was such a beautiful room with such a beautiful views! The whole hotel is really nice, Staff was kind and helpful and breakfast is really complete, not just the typical products.

It is a four star hotel but it doesn’t have four star facilities. There is no restaurant or room service and there is a bar but it wasn’t open once when we stayed in October. The staff are very pleasant but the service is not what I would expect in a four star hotel. For example, refusing to open the roof terrace so we could have a look at the view. Maybe there was a good reason for this but they didn’t tell us. Telling us the bar was closed at 7pm. Not telling us about the 45 euro city tax until we checked out and then only accepting payment in cash.

The location is great, in central Venice near the Rialto bridge and directly overlooking the Grand Canal. The hotel is a beautiful old grand building and the rooms are large and quiet.
