How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewThe property was so beautiful and clean! The view from our room was immaculate. It was walking distance to Amalfi and literally next to the beach. The staff were so kind and helpful. They accommodated allergies and answered all of our questions right away. I will definitely come back!

Verified reviewThe morning coffee was delicious and the location was easy to get to from port.
This is not a hotel it’s a single room. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone coming and going, stomping anround upstairs and even the conversations in the room next door. WiFi was fine, a bit weak. Breakfast was nothing special, a croissant and 1 cup of espresso and then packaged crackers. At the end of the trip we were told the travel fee couldn’t be paid by card which was a bit of a surprise and a tad convenience as it was our last stop so had to withdraw more cash late.
Dear customer, you booked a standard room and on the booking.com website the room you took is well described in terms of size. There were other rooms of superior quality but perhaps you preferred to save. If on the Amalfi Coast you are looking for a hotel near the center, on the sea and with the services you ask for (laundry in the building) you must book in a hotel with 4 stars or more and pay double the prices we have. The tourist tax throughout Italy is paid in cash because it is money destined for the Municipality where the building is located and cannot pass through the company's bank accounts. Our breakfast has a very varied menu also for celiacs and vegans and you were the one who didn't ask for anything else. For your entire stay you had the habit of leaving your shoes in front of the door practically in the corridor which is a shared area of the structure and you did not respect our prohibition to do this. His gesture damaged our image with other customers who, when they entered the B&B, saw your shoes in front of your door. I do not think that in a 4 star hotel they would have allowed you this and certainly they would not have let you continue your stay. (the camera we have in the corridor films and records everything). Verified reviewGreat location! In the small town of Atrani and also close enough to walk through tunnel to Amalfi which also has the port to catch ferries. Check out the family run outside bar on beach in Atrani called Nettunos!
Not the proprietors fault but they happened to be paving the road our place was on on our first night. Paving started about 11pm. Long night. Luckily I could order two cappuccinos for myself in the morning 😬.

Verified reviewBeautiful location away from crowds of downtown Amalfi. Within walking distance of ferry and restaurants. Breathtaking view from king room. And breakfast delivered with a smile each morning!
We loved the property but do suggest using trolley/golf cart for transport luggage to and from ferry.

Verified reviewLocation is excellent (just a 5 mins walk to the Amalfi port & city), Staff was extremely helpful, Carmela was very warm & gracious (they also accommodated our early breakfast request on one of the days when we had to leave a bit early). Carmela was very helpful especially in planning our trip from Naples Airport to Atrani.

Verified reviewThe location was quite advisable if you’d like to scape the hustle and bustle of the Amalfi Coast. Take into consideration that you will have a 10’ walk to restaurants and bars in Amalfi. The staff that serve the breaksfast was super nice and attentive. The room was super clean and comfortable.
The breaksfast can be improved with a healthier option including proteins or fruit. The citi tax had to be paid by cash and it was not advice upfront. Lastly, the fitness center is not within the facility and it would have been great that information was given at reception. Also, there is no private beach. Apart from that, it is super recommendable.

Verified reviewPerfectly clean, nice sea view, good communication with owner, comfortable beds, very nice breakfast in the morning which they bring directly to the room. Location is amazing - 7-8 minutes of walking through pedestrian tunnel to centre of Amalfi and 2-3 minutes to centre of Atrani and what is most important - most of the walking is on very flat terrain which is extremely rare on Amalfi coast. To walk to Amalfi you maybe have 15 stairs and to Atrani you must go down and up but you can do it without using the stairs because there is very walkable road. Atrani is the most perfect place in Amalfi coast- beautiful, not overcrowded by tourists and it kept original southern Italian atmosphere and very, very close to Amalfi which is always full of tourists.
They are changing towels only at every second day, it would be more appropriate if they do it every day for such beautiful place.
