Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesOnly two things, we didn't have the ability to get a cup of coffee later in the day. And there is no laundry available for the hotel guests. However, conveniently there is a public laundry place right across the hotel. A bit pricey but at least it was there.
The place was almost perfect. It was clean, comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was good and had a good variety of items.

Germany1. Staff not welcoming and pretty absent. Unless you speak German, they won’t be of much help. 2. Breakfast starts quite late in morning (from 8 am) not ideal for skiers who want to take advantage of the full day. 3. Not equipped with a proper ski room.
Well located, close to 173 bus that takes directly to Ortisei center

United StatesWe found the bed too firm for us, it was uncomfortable.
This is a very nice hotel run by a husband, wife, and their two dogs. The hotel had modern updates including a sauna and pool in the basement. Nice hotel room with a balcony. Updated bathroom. Free parking. They also have a lovely breakfast display each morning with fresh fruit, bread, granola, and yogurt. The hotel is a quick 5-minute walk to town where you can find a large grocery store, several restaurants, and a few bars.

RomaniaFront parking can be a little overcrowded but the host pointed me to the underground garage which was even better. However, a remote door control would be useful.
The hotel is very clean and welcoming. Room was refreshed/cleaned every day (big thanks to Ecaterina). .Silence location even if there is a main road 50 m away..Swimming pool is very cozy and nice, we were always alone in there. Location is walking distance from the old city center. Host has a nice dog which has a designated area at the floor. (no issues at all like in the previous reviews)

FinlandAbsolute nothing to complaint!
A comfortable hotel, very short distance from the bus station and town centre. Room was very silent when you close window and balcony door. There's a barn next door with cattle and chickens, which someone may find noisy (and maybe a bit smelly). I personally didn't mind, found it actually relaxing to watch animals from balcony. You can always close the door and window.

United StatesWhen I wanted to check out at 7:40 in the morning, the owner was angry at me for disturbing her. She pointed to a sign that said "Breakfast at 8:00." If the reception desk doesn't open until 8:00, that should be made clear to guests. A sign about when breakfast is served is insufficient.
The hotel was fine overall, except see below.

United StatesThe included spa was nice and interesting. The large beautiful bubbling wellness pool is cool rather than warm, but meant to serve as a cool down I suppose after the steam room or sauna. Still a pool more like a warm jacuzzi would have been nice.
Leila at the breakfast restaurant was so kind and cheerful that she made our stay a treat. Nandy at the desk was helpful and always had a smile for us :-)

LithuaniaOur experience at the property was highly disappointing. The staff exhibited extreme rudeness and had poor English communication skills. Furthermore, the limited parking space resulted in our car being blocked by another guest's vehicle, and when we sought assistance, the staff callously dismissed our concerns, stating it was not their problem and suggested we use public transportation instead. Overall, the property does not justify its cost, and the discourteous behavior of the staff greatly diminished the enjoyment of our holiday. I strongly advise against anyone considering a visit to this establishment.
The location and the city was nice and quite

United StatesThe hours for breakfast were not conducive if you wanted to get on the slopes early. I would consider 0700-1000 instead of 0800-1000. Our room smelt of sewer gas when we woke up one morning (though our friends' room did not). We asked for a hot water pot because I was sick with a sore throat and wanted to make tea and were told they would bring it to our room. They never did. We woke up at one point to their dogs barking really loudly.
I liked that there was a pool and parking was easy. The one out of three days we were able to make breakfast, it was good.

United StatesCar traffic from busy road interfered with sleep. The owner’s barking dog made sleep impossible after 7 in the morning. Pet urine smell in carpeted hallway. Like many european hotels, there is only a duvet and no top sheet which was uncomfortable in the warm weather we experienced. We didn’t use the pool or sauna because the hours were inconvenient.
Good location, room was large and comfortable. Room was also very clean. Mattress was very comfortable.

CanadaAWFUL, overwhelming smell of dog urine in the carpet. The smell extended down the stairs and into the lobby. The owners have a large dog, and some guests had dogs also. We had booked and paid for 3 nights, but because of the smell we asked the owner Alex if we could check out early. He said it would be no problem, so we walked down the street and booked a lovely hotel around the corner for the last 2 nights. When we came back to the Hotel Garni Savoy, the owner’s wife said we would not be refunded for our 2 nights.
