My only one night stay was perfect :) very confortable, clean, helpfull staff, nice common areas and very close to the central station which is good if you need to get up early to get the train.

The neighbourhood is not the nicesest, the rooms are not soundproof at all, the shower is very tiny, the room is small in general, pretty bad shower pressure!

The closeness to Termini, nice pillows and blanket, fresh shot towel and the Staff was very nice!

Towel rental was ridiculous. Paris generator allowed you to exchange towels for free after rental for fresh ones. This place made u pay for each fresh towel which is more than the towel cost Also the smoking section was hidden and not explained at all. From floor 2 the door says Staff only. On floor 1 it says smoking area/laundry. The staff watched me smoke outside on the street for the first night without ever mentioning they had a private area with chairs. This upset me when I found the area by mistake but once I found it it was very relaxing. This needs to be posted properly

Rent cation works underway so rooftop bar closed- big disappointment. Also reported blocked shower drain day 1. Not resolved during whole stay. Bar quite expensive.

The main elevator is under reparation, and the service elevator was broken for the first few days of my stay, and I was staying on the 6th floor… so that was sometimes tough but it was repaired halfway through my stay.

Very easy to get to from Termini - the station you arrive at if taking the train in from Rome airport (about a 10 min walk). There’s someone at the front desk 24/7 which is practical. There’s a “day bar” for coffees and in the evening another bar for cocktails (and I think they serve food but I didn’t try). The nearest metro is Piazzo Vittorio Emanuele and is very convenient, though I mostly walked. The Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore is just a 10 min walk, the Colosseum about a 20-min walk, Trevi Fountain about 30, and Pantheon just a few minutes further. You can also walk to other major sites so really for the price, it’s a great place. I shared a room with 3 other woman, and it was nice to meet other people throughout the stay. The rooms are cute for a hostel, and each bed has its own large case in which you can store your belongings and padlock it (either bring your own or you can buy one on-site). You can also do laundry (purchase tokens and detergent at reception). Overall very happy with my stay.

I was a bit surprised by how expensive the drinks in the bar were - much more than at restaurants/bars for drinks that weren't as high quality. With it being a hostel bar, I thought it would have been cheaper.

I really enjoyed my stay at Generator! I was travelling alone and stayed in a 4-bed girl dorm. I found the facilities to be really good - especially the shower pressure - and once the bottom sheet was on the bed, it was really comfy. I liked that each bed had its own light, plug socket, and a pocket to store things in, and the storage bins were really spacious. I didn't spend much time in the hostel but the staff I did encounter were friendly and helpful.

Maybe the neighbourhood a little, because of rubbish, graffiti and some people. But it's a usual things in places like near the train stations.

A good place for a first acquaintance with the Eternal City. I lived in a room with 6 people, my neighbors were respectable and pleasant people. The room was clean, the bed linen was nice, the pillows were good. The bathroom has all the amenities, there is a heated towel rail, very pleasant liquid soap, and hot water in the shower. The hostel staff is friendly and organized. Pros: - very close to the train station Termini - There is a park (Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II) nearby where you can get water from a drinking fountain. ! Important points ! - if you don’t have a towel with you, you can rent one for 5 euros at the reception - be sure to take indoor slippers/flip-flops with you if you don’t want to walk around in socks or barefoot

I paid and booked a bed to share with girls and they gave me a bed to share with boys. I was not allowed to have breakfast at the tables next to the reception because it was not the breakfast sold in the hostel and the dining room is small and usually very busy.

The luggage storage was very expensive - around €6 for a day and when I extended my stay in a different room, they made me pay to store it while I waited for the other room. Also, not much opportunity to socialise, although it was the weekend - the rooftop bar was closed :(

Very comfortable beds and always nice facilities at the generator hostels. Only a 20 minute walk to the city centre and the staff were really lovely.

The location, even though is near the Metro, Termini station, bus stops... the streets around even in front of the building are very dirty, trash bins everywhere, dirty walls. To be honest I felt unsafe at night (9:00pm)

The location was okay, a bit isolated and in a dirty environment - a bit out of place for a 4 star hotel On my last day I saw a silverfish crawling in my room - other than that the cleaning stuff always did a good job :-)

The breakfast could have been better. Also as there was a person staying since a long time my the room I stayed, it was very messy. Her stuff was everywhere, even in the bathroom and toilet, which made me feel uncomfortable. Although it was not the hostel's fault, there could have been some strict regulations regarding it.
