The location was disappointing, set off a busy road with no nearby shops or restaurants - the closest nice place to visit to eat and drink is Castello Normanno, a 30 min walk away along the busy road. Also disappointing that the pool was closed - on checking, I realised this was mentioned - though not very prominently - in the booking confirmation but I don't remember if being mentioned on the site when I booked, and the photo of the pool area was a major factor in my choice

Very comfortable rooms with lovely views out to sea. Good breakfast, (mostly) friendly staff, secure car park - albeit accessed by a very steep and narrow ramp!

- The hotel is very old fashioned - they just gave me one key to the room even though I had to pay an additional fee for my wife - its a labyrinth

The hotel is a bit older, especially the bathroom needs renovation. Dinner very limited and in a dark dining room, a bit scary. The problem is that there is no alternative nearby. Breakfast ok on the beautiful terrace above the sea. It is completely illogical that they do not allow swimming in the sea on the hotel beach when it is 28 degrees outside and the sea is 24 degrees Celsius.

Management / owner of this hotel has a clear blind spot with regards to the state of furniture, paint status, and maintenance : - beds are really to old. We had a electricity problem in the room, Loud buzz all night. Bath edges has black mold. Safe was broken, 3 numbers did not function . Bankbed was really old wand broke when we sat on it. Lampshades we’re damaged . Matrassen are really really hard. - hire an external party and renew your furniture eg in the lobby : this has rotan furniture , which is painted white, and then is became dirty and the handles are now black with dirt from people s hands. I can honor an make a very long list but don’t want to as it is too cumbersome. Very obviously the owner of this hotel is milking revenu until things break down completely ; )

Great Location and friendly staff. Parking is easily available. TV has a lot of channels. Hotel is nicely airconditioned . Big hotel, full of guests but still quiet . Italians are friendly people. Nice lava rock formations at the sea side. Good place to relax at the pool bar and enjoy the sea . Great view on terras en restaurants are available with friendly staff. Poolbar restaurant has extremely friendly and professional staff during our stay. Staff at the counter is also very friendly . I liked them.

The "catch" of the peanuts and crackers disposed on the desk. No reference as to being free or charged! We assumed it would be free but to our surprise were charged as part of frigobar! Usually in a 4 star facility there is free water at disposal, especially in warm hemispheres like Sicily.

Hotel is well located and surrounded by a nice well entertained garden. Parking facility is well appreciated

I ate a pasta marinara on the first night (14th September) at the main restaurant and the next day got food poisoning. The hotel staff were informed and did nothing to assist or offer compensation.

Breakfast was ok - a bit too consumer/crown plaza like. most things were prepacked. repetative. Stayed in IHG Milano for 1/2 the price and the breakfasts were superb. Allmost homemade and very very fresh.

Quite far from town, a little transfer bus would of been great.

The room was lovely with a great view of the ocean. We got in early and was checked into our room still without an issue. The restaurant lunch was nice too. Rock beach access could not have been closer.

This is a beautiful, traditional Italian hotel that has been kept in that style. Amazing views across the sea. Brilliant breakfast with a huge variety. High quality food in the evening with great service from all team members. Very large, comfortable bed. Special mention to Sergio the barman. There were around 100 cocktails on the menu and he appeared to be able to make them all from memory, with a super cool, chilled demeanour.

You could use a coffee maker and hot water kettle in the room .

My wife and I enjoyed the breakfasts very much and the room was perfect - great view of the pool and the ocean .

Some of the staff including breakfast and one member of the bar staff were very miserable and looked like they really didn’t want to be there .

Lovely pool and pool side bar . Beautiful building . It was stormy so couldn’t swim in the sea but hopefully we will be back. Close to the airport. Very good food and wine in the restaurant .

Very noisy place. Can hear the neighbours using their bathroom, talking and the music from the wedding reception at the restaurant was very loud.

Some of the employees was really unfriendly and make you not comfortable at this beautiful place the breakfast was also not really good not fresh fruit juice everyday the same thing and hard to order a coffee and cutlery’s :/ at the table (because some table was not ready for new people coming for breakfast and there is no reception for the breakfast) Also it was our honeymoon and I write them a message to notice this I was expected something nice for our arrival at the room the only things we get is a bucket of fruit (so we didn’t know if it was a thing for every customer arrived or not ) We was surprised they didn’t do any effort for this I think the minimum and it’s not a lot it’s to put some roses to make us feeling welcoming for our new capter in our life

The hotel the pool and some of the employees was really good ! Also we ask to change the room and they did so really nice from them The bar next to the pool is nice to have this
