Noise from traffic outside is quite loud. Leaking in bathroom. Tired hotel. Good location to accessing restaurants on the square. Breakfast could be fresher in terms of juices and bread. Cheap cereal. WiFi does not always work and is slow.

    Location, friendly staff. Balcony view.

Weak breakfast with limited choices and canned fruit.

Great location on edge of city center and 12 minute walk from train station. Great views from the hotel rooftop. My room also faced the water and had a balcony to relax on and to enjoy the view. Clean and comfortable. Good sized rooms. Popular tour hotel, but still suitable for solo travelers, couples and families. If you want a romantic or more intimate feel at a hotel, stay in the City Center instead. Desktop computer available for guests, but tends to freeze up. Catch the bus at the train station to go directly to Naples airport.

Nice view of the sea from room and private balcony; great breakfast buffet; friendly staff; nice gardens; easy 10 minute walk from the train station, perfect location to the piazza. No need for taxis around town. Would choose this hotel again.

Wifi is surely to be improved, in my opinion its a good 3 stars' hotel, for being 4 stars it should improve things make them more modern, but jn general the impression is good!

Great position, good breakfast, nice greenery in garden, great view from balcony, nice pool on the 6th floor with sunbeds, friendly and helpful personnel

The swimming pool is on the rooftop with no covering - it would be better if it at least had a shade sail over part of the pool to reduce sun exposure.

The room was spacious with private balcony and good ensuite. The breakfast / dining room was large and b/fast choices excellent. Lovely rooftop bar where you can get drinks all day and snacks at lunch time. The pool is also on the rooftop with sun lounges, etc. Excellent location near centre of town with many restaurants and shops nearby. Also, the hotel is only a 3 minute walk to the railway station - convenient for touring out of town.

It's basic, but rooms are very spacious. roof top pool beautiful with plenty of chairs, but could have some umbrella's for shade.

The gardens and sitting areas around the hotel were lovely and we enjoyed a nice picnic lunch with food from a little fruit and cheese market nearby. The pool was a blessing after a hot ride in the train, and a day in Pompeii, and provided great views of Sorrento and Mt. Vesuvius in the distance. There was a bar and terrace for those not interested in the pool. Having a balcony on our room was fun too! The location was very close to the train station (short walk) and it was also a nice short walk to the center of town for restaurants and shopping. The views from the edge of town over the sea were spectacular. We enjoyed discovering Marina Grande in Sorrento, and we used Sorrento as a launching point for a day to Pompeii. We would definitely book again!

Breakfast was mediocre at best. Pool closes too early (6:30pm) - would have been great to have access for an hour more perhaps. (The sun didn't set until 9pm!!)

Lovely room, with a great view! Nice big bathroom and shower. Also after coming back after a long day of touring and exploring, it was amazing to have a swim on the rooftop pool with a view of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples as the sun set.

Steady hot water would have been nice.

I"m not used to staying in such an old hotel. Coming from the states and visiting Sorrento for the first time I could only gather so much information from the sites. Breakfast was plentiful but terrible. Coffee, YUK! Eggs, YUK! Couldn't even eat the cereal.. Lobby had a smell to it. Hotel needs to be updated. I guess if you like a retro 70's look then this is the place for you. Staff was very nice and accommodating but I would never go back.

My only criticism would be the breakfast could benefit with some baked beans. The food was great but could have been complimented with beans. It was just a tad dry.

Maid service exceptional, not only do you have a room cleaned, it is then topped up later in the day with items you have used or are lacking with out even requesting. Concierge Exceptional, booked a Kayaking on our behalf, arranged it all for us. Pool towels available, staff so happy and so helpful. Pool was a godsend after a day on foot. Small but perfect and clean, such a view!

This hotel was a nightmare. The room was noisy and very old fashioned. The worst part was the staff - one fat and very rude member of staff (no better way to describe him).I Kept my luggage there overnight while I travelled to Amalfi. He was there when I left my bag and his big big ego was hurt when I asked for a luggage receipt. When I came back he refused to hand me my luggage, said he lost it and asked me to call the police!!!He was shouting and was aggressive. So unprofessional and truly deserved to be taught some manners.I Nearly missed my bus to the airport. If the hotel has a camera,I urged the management to look into this because no one deserve to be treated so unprofessionally and aggressively! He must be a very sad person to make a guest feel that way!!!

This hotel would've been outdated in the 90s. It needs an upgrade, although given it appears to cater to package holidays from the UK and appears to be very successful in doing so, an upgrade is unlikely.

It states that the pool closes at 6pm, surely most people would enjoy a swim after a day of sightseeing, it should be open until at least 7/8pm - having said this, I didn't see anyone being told to leave at 6pm so maybe they are not strict about this.

Hotel is in a very good location to explore Sorrento but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Loved the rooftop swimming pool. We had a triple room which was very large with 3 comfy single beds. All staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The food could be improved on. I would like fresh fruit such as melon, strawberries etc for breakfast, not tinned! Also, the main meal at dinner is too "English". Starters are great but next course always has plain boiled potatoes or chips to accompany it. Make it more Italian please. Otherwise there is nothing not to like.

The only thing was the wifi as it was very scanty in areas of the hotel e.g. we were on the first floor and my iPad wouldnt connect at all but the girls iPhones could get it if they stayed by the door. Only a minor flaw but apart from this the hotel is perfect and I will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone going to Sorrento. Breakfast was superb. Well done Cesare Augusto
