Our room was also very nice, except not much of a view, which probably explains the discount.

This hotel is really like a museum or palazzo. We booked the room with a nice discount, but we were nevertheless positively surprised with the hotel itself, the location, the pool etc. Breakfast (on the terras) was also excellent. Sestri Levante has a lot of eating options and a nice atmosphere.

Lovely old world hotel with style and history. Excellent facilities, lovely pool. Appreciated the tableware, crockery and all the little bits that mark a sophisticated hotel. Reception staff were charming and very helpful. My only little gripe, the elderly waiter on breakfast duty, who only looked after some guests and ignored others. Having said that, I’ll definitely return

Cleaning below average, our toilet was a bit dirty on arrival; Breakfast dishes are not refilled, plates remain empty because staff is lazy and is talking instead of working, I had to ask for croissants and still could not get in 20 minutes as promissed; Hotel’s beach was closed altough it was perfect weather for beach. Again, lazy staff, I did not felt welcomed at all, on the contrary staff is bored and lazy, not willing to work.

The breakfast was disappointing - poor orange juice, horrible coffee and only scrambled eggs on buffet. The pastries were good and the bread fresh though the ham and cheese options were basic. Not worth the money for breakfast although the room and hotel made up for it. The weather was awful so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool or private beach

The hotel entrance, facade and room decor were stunning. The staff were very helpful when we arrived early to ensure my husband got into the room early to make a business meeting. The gardens were lovely.

Bathroom needs shelves and hooks although newly refurbished. Beach club uninviting, cafe there looked poor and daily cost to guests additional 50e.

The television did not have any English Channel (but we did in upgraded room). Rooms would benefit with a kettle.

Very interesting and comfortable hotel in a good location. The rooms and facilities were very good; the interiors and gardens were stylish (antique) and well kept. Breakfast was good and nicely presented (inside and out in the garden), Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The beaches (private and public) and town centre were close and attractive.

The mansion and property is beautiful - outdated but in a charming where you feel you may have stepped back in a different time
