The walls were very thin- you could hear everything your neighbour is up to!

Great facilities, the breakfast was lovely and the best instant coffee machine I’ve ever tried!

We were disappointed that both the inside and outside bars were closed and won't open for a while. Our biggest disappointment was the fluctuating water temperature in the shower... very hot to very cold in moments was a real problem.

We love the hotel Gianicolo; have stayed many times and will return. The staff are fantastic, breakfast room is stunning and gardens delightful.

The mattresses were a bit hard. There was noise from barking dogs, and the rooms could use better sound isolation. These were minor issues though. Would recommend staying at the hotel to everyone.

Very friendly staff. Nice room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast and breakfast room. Great location, quiet area and close to great restaurants in Trastevere and within walking distance to the city centre.

The room was very noisy, both from the traffic on the road outside and because you can hear everything from the corridors and nextdoor rooms (earplugs are provided in the room TBF). It was also a real shame that the pool was closed until May, as the weather in April, in Rome, was perfect for it.

The hotel is a beautiful building in a nice neighborhood. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was lovely.

Maybe didn’t read the small print about how far up the steep hill it was, but taxis were reasonable and easy

Guests with more limited mobility or fitness might find walking the hill back to the hotel challenging.

Charming hotel with very friendly staff. We visited in January, so the pool was not open, but we could imagine that a summer visit would be absolutely perfect. It's a fantastic location in general, and especially if you like running with the park nearby. The room had a water kettle and mini-fridge, so we could stock up on tea and small snacks for ourselves. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, breakfast was lovely.

Location was away from all the craziness of such a busy city

Excellent hotel, great staff. At the top of a hill so either need to catch the loacl transport (well served) or be fit enough for athe uphill walk. Short didstance to most tourist attractions (30 mins, depending on fitness level of course).

WiFi in the room was weak.

Good location on the hill. But is not suitable for those who don’t want to climb up a hill each day. Loved being away from the crowds on the other side of the river. A short walk to the Travasterre area where there are a ton of restaurants and cafes Definitely would stay there again, because very clean room and tasty breakfast buffet. The staff on the desk were extremely helpful. Thank you very much!

Neds upgrading. The 4 star rating was perhaps justified 20 years ago. The property is tired and 3 stars would be more honest. Room refrigerator did not work. WiFi in room was weak and erratic. Shower head would not stay in position. Shower water temperature changed from too hot to very cold constantly during shower. The pillows were old, flat and uncomfortable. Part of the window curtains fell to the floor twice. One small slow elevator is not adequate for the size of the hotel. Breakfast was adequate but the chef needs to learn how to make scrambled eggs - they were either watery and undercooked or hard and greenish (really).

Location for access to Salvator Mundi Hospital and parking. Pleasant and helpful staff. Price was reasonable.

Nothing really. Would certainly go again. Would anticipate queuing for coffee could be annoying if busy at breakfast and I wasn’t so keen on the sheets as opposed to a duvet cover - perhaps time saving for the hotel team but it didn’t work as a concept.

Loved the fact that was near everything yet a little apart and on a hill. Pool was a bonus as was hot in Oct even. Reception staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and effective - a real credit to the hotel. Breakfast v comprehensive and fresh. Clean and charming stay with great views 2mins from the door. Lovely bar and restaurant next door - much frequented by locals.
