Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I got first a very bad room! I complained in the reception and got another bad room!! I left the hotel after telling the reception that I had paid for the same room type I used last time and that the hotel in writing had upgraded me free of charge as I was a regular guest. If I did not get what was promised, I would find another hotel. When I returned hours later, I got what I had paid for, - at last!

Selected because the Grand Hotel Majestic belongs to the LHW(Leading Hotels in the World). I also remembered that my father in law once stayed. They helped book dinner reservation after the opera observation, showing us four candidates. Then we could easily compared between them via Internet based on the recommendation upon preference. ...It was indeed nice restaurant for cuisine, flexible of service and hospitality. They also recommended and suggested nice place to visit. But it was only quite a part of their excellent and warm hearted services. ... Another was when I forgot my wallet at the hotel room I stayed. Hotel officer called me regarding the lost within two hours. My drivers' license and cash and other Important documents were in it. ... I managed to plan returning to the hotel though the schedule was very tight. The services they made were outstanding and helped me a lot. My travel was Indeed saved. I'd recommend this hotel for good travellers visiting Bologna, in Italy, even though I myself was not a good traveler at all.

Room very small for an hotel of this category, in particular because it wasn’t the lowest type of room category in the hotel. The tv set was broken and the heating was not adjustable. I wonder if they keep “bad” rooms for people that book through bookings.com, which is not ok for this type of hotels.

Nothing to dislike about this hotel.
Friendly, helpful staff, we arrived early they fid there best to accommodate us and had our room ready for 10.30am with a double upgrade. Lounge bar was a lovely place to have a drink and something to eat. We also ate in the restaurant which was also very nice.

Staying at the hotel was a real treat, fabulous place. The breakfast buffet was lovely, the bar was really nice and we had dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening, amazing food and a beautiful room. The staff were lovely, would definitely recommend staying and dining here!

Not applicable - just wish we had more time to experience the hotel and the city.
Our room was upgraded and we were placed in the presidential suite for our stay. Needless to say, the accommodations were incredible. Moreover the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious.

Not much.
Very efficiently run hotel.. all staff very friendly and everything worked perfectly. Room was comfy with lovely bed and great bathroom. Centrally located. You felt cosseted and looked after!
