Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaAs an American I'm not very used to hotels that don't have elevators and dragging my luggage up the stairs can be a challenge but other than that it was a good stay.
Both the room and the shared facilities were clean and comfortable. The location is less than a 2-minute walk from the Leaning Tower. There were lots of good restaurant choices and small grocery shops in the area. I found it easy to get on the bus at the train station and walk from the drop off to the hotel.

United KingdomThe noise from outside and in the corridoors people just slamming doors talking loudly there seemed to be no consideration later at night. That was the only thing that spoilt it.
The location was excellent Staff extremley helpful The room was clean and comfortable for a one night stay. There were resturants and bars all within a few metres of the hotel.

United KingdomThe room was perfectly located in a pedestrian area and only a 2 minute walk from the Cathedral Complex. The room was compact and with no refreshments, but there is a communal tv/ lounge area on the ground floor with hot and cold vending machines. There is also a small enclosed garden seating area. Wifi was available through the property.

GermanyNo breakfast, but there are restaurants and a grocery store within a block.
Perfect location, about a block from the Leaning Tower, cathedral, etc. Also close to plenty of restaurants and shopping. Great price, super clean. The parking they told us to use was free and worked well (but is a 5+ minute walk to the hotel).

ItalyThe atmosphere is very informal, family like, friendly and helpful with the propriety. So with the employees. There is an interesting project to add an external elevator: that, for us the less young, would mean that HPT would rank very high on a quality/price scale. The location is perfect, of course. I'll move my Pisan habits from being the guest of my dearest relatives, to visit them at day time, walking from my " Hotel d'habitude.".

FinlandExcellent location, right by the Leaning Tower and touristic area with many restaurants and sights! Very basic facilities, nothing extra: so what you pay for as it is very affordable option (especially for the location). Only stayed here one night (stayed elsewhere in the region for most of the holiday) and just came to check-in earlier in the afternoon and sleep here that night, so did not want to pay for anything extra and for me the priority was on the location here. For longer stay would have chosen more upscale hotel option, but for one night of sleep here this was really good! Note that staff is only on site for certain hours (no 24/7 reception) so if you need any assistance/check-in, you need to double check their hours. No elevator.

United KingdomThe shower screen leaked, so the bathroom floor got wet. This was the only issue, and we were only there for one night so it didn't really affect us.
Location and room were lovely. Staff were exceptional: we arrived in a monsoon, soaking wet and too early to check in. They gave us a hairdryer to dry our clothes, stored our bags, and let us wait in the communal lounge until our room was ready. Also arranged an early check out the next morning with no hassle.
