Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaShower cubicle is way too small for any adult. No teatowels in kitchen. Nowhere to put your suitcase other than on the bed or floor.
Location Waa excellent with lots of shops and restaurants in immediate vicinity. Also relatively close to trains etc.

United KingdomA bit noisy - there is a bar on the corner, and very loud music coming most of the time during the day ( not the night though), but generally Naples is noisy in the centre.
great location, 10 minute walk from airport bus stop. All historical sites nearby, really good cafes and restaurants around. Dont let yourself off by the street view - it looks the same in the historical city everywhere:) The flat itself served us well - with 2 young children.

United KingdomThe area isn’t the cleanest, lots of rubbish in the streets.
The host was very helpful with good recommendations for restaurants and help with booking a taxi back to the airport. Any questions were answered promptly. The apartment was basic but had everything we needed. The location was good - most train stations, the metro, restaurants and places to visits were in walking distance.

PortugalThe building and the entrance of the apartment were awful, even having two cockroaches lying around during our stay. We had some bugs around the apartment too. The bed sheets were smelly and had stains on them

The apartment's location is excellent, right in the center of things close to the cathedral, Via Dei Tribunali, and restaurants, and about a 15 minutes walk to Toledo or to Garibaldi. But unfortunately, the apartment itself does not reflect the pictures that appear on the site and it is small and neglected, except for the new kitchen. The apartment is dirty, the toilets are tiny and leak. It has two bedrooms and is therefore only suitable for four guests and is not ideal for five people although it can be booked for five or more. The open bad is in the kitchen. The entrance to the apartment is very neglected, the stairs are broken and dirty with electric cables running in a dangerous manner. The dishes in the kitchen were dirty and there was not even a cloth to clean them. In one of the rooms, carton boxes were stored. We will not return here. The host was nice enough to wait for us due to the immigration huge queue in Naples airport.
