That our holidays ended and couldn't stay more!

What an amazing discovery this hotel! Perfect location to walk around Siena and with a free parking which is rare for Italy. The family room was big and cozy and the cleaning was immaculate! One night we tried the restaurant and while it didn't have reviews, we can attest that it was delicious, lovely presented and with a lovely wine selection. The bonus of this hotel is their staff. From the reception, the waiters at the breakfast and dinner everyone has the right attitude, very polite, helpful and attentive to the last detail. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay by 1 night. Our small kids were also attended to, every day there was something given to them during breakfast and they always had an adaptable chair for the youngest. Lastly, I lost an earring in the sink and they had a technician come and find it within an hour. We travel a lot as a family of 4 in various countries and hotels like this one really make the difference in hospitality. Keep it up!

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The staff were very friendly and seemed very happy to work at the Athena. They couldn’t do enough for us! The location was perfect, a short stroll from the centre of Siena. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.

Some kids were very noisy late at night in adjacent rooms. A pity when you own kids are quiet and don't bother others. We appreciated the effective staff intervention when need to get calm back.

Very well located hotel close to the historic center. perfect for visit. Very friendly and professional staff. nice large rooms, romantic view on the city and surroundings.

Great location, easy walk into town. Great that they have free car parking as well! The beds were comfortable, the balcony was nice to watch the sunset and the staff were so warm and lovely. The breakfast buffet was great, lots of options. The hotel was really nice and quiet, we didn’t hear a single other guest when we were in our room.

A bit difficult to find as one of the streets leading to the hotel was closed due to ongoing work. However by the time of our departure it had opened.

Parking on hotel property, easy registration, and within easy walking to all major sites. Very professional hotel staff always eager to help. Good breakfast buffet.

Everything was great!

Breakfast and dinner was superb. The Waiters, Bedere and Halim were exceptionally patient, kind and knowledgeable regarding menu items and general information regarding the town and the language. They were both quite kind and attentive to create a relaxed and welcome atmosphere.

I had some trouble after losing my wallet. Everyone on the staff was extremely considerate and helpful with that as well as all of our other concerns.

This is a very classy, traditional hotel in Siena's old town. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. My single room was clean and the bathroom newly decorated. My dog and I loved the basket / bed placed in the room for her - what a nice gesture!!! Breakfast downstairs was great with a fabulous selection of foods, especially the honey (in the comb), cornetti and cakes ... Up the street and around a corner is a great local restaurant run by a "nonna" with excellent food. For this proximity alone, I would return.

The staff is very helpful, thanks a lot, specially when I needed a needle. They provided the best liquid soap and shampoo I've ever used, what an amazing olive fragance! In my mind, that smell always will make me remember of Siena, thank you so much. The hotel is very nice, I'd like so much to come back.

It's perfect if you reach Siena by car, you basically park inside the city and it's just a short walk from the center. Breakfast is amazingly rich.
