Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaBathroom is extremely small; a big person would have a hard time using it. I'd suggest for them to add a bathroom rug for the towels for after leaving the shower as it can be quite slippery.
Very clean. Great location. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe bathroom was tiny.
The location was amazing. Got the Vaporetto (water bus) from the station to San Marco and it was a very short walk to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Hotel is next to a gorgeous square with lovely restaurants.

United KingdomThe hotel is expensive for what you get, but in terms of Venice prices, it’s exceptionally good value.
Hotel Bridge is in an exceptional location. A 6-8 minute walk to the Alilaguna water bus stop and a stones throw away from the canals!

NetherlandsWe did not realise that the economy double room has quite limited free space.
The location was excellent, 2 steps from San Marco Square. It was clean, bed confortable. The walls of the room were covered in a special golden textile, the ceiling was very high and wooden beams, giving you the feeling that you were in a palace. The staff very friendly, the breakfast was buffet and very good.

AustraliaThis isn’t a complaint by any means, but just a heads up for future travellers that as this hotel is in an older building, there are no lifts/elevators so be prepared to haul your luggage up at least one, if not two, flights of stairs. I knew this before I booked the hotel so it wasn’t a surprise, but just keep it in mind if you have large or heavy bags!
The location was fantastic, just behind San Marco so very close to all the attractions in St Mark’s Square but just a few streets back so quiet. It’s very easily accessible from the train station through a close vaporetto stop. It is filled with character and very historic, so a magical atmosphere. All the staff were warm and welcoming. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe here.

AustraliaThe pillows could do with an update. The shower was tiny. I think a shared bathroom would be a better use of space.
The location was great. The room and facilities were very clean. The staff provided excellent service and security - they were very helpful and friendly. The had excellent English, much better than my Italian.

United StatesThe room is very small . The bathroom , also very small, needs a couple of hooks. A luggage rack would be helpful in the room. We needed the air conditioner at night, even in early October. We discovered that the staff turned it off, but they accommodated us by turning it back on when we requested a fan for the room.
The staff was friendly and helpful . The restaurant recommendation was one of the best dining experiences we have ever experienced. The room is small, but clean , and has outlets for charging at both bed sides. We enjoyed the location very much. There is a window which is nice.

New ZealandThe very long flight of stairs up to the second floor (was more like climbing two floors), although we were warned that there was no elevator.
Great location - handy to everything we needed, plus quiet too. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Breakfast was great.

United Arab EmiratesOne thing to consider for those with ambulatory challenges are the stairs. A full set. No elevators at the property.
Location was perfect for accessing most of Venice with ease. Easy to find and get to when arriving and departing. Staff were really lovely and helpful. There is a simple breakfast, however we did not go for the option. Rooms are simple but clean. So don't expect any additional mini bars or luxury items. Bonus was also location to a laundry facility. After 5 days or travel, clean clothes were welcome! There was an Oseteria next to the facility so we had an amazing dinner while we did laundry. There was an amazing Oseteria next to the hotel as well. A reminder that these kinds of properties don't always provide toiletries or a mini bar.

NorwayThe property is located centrally and it’s only five minutes walk to the Saint Mark’s Square. However, it was lacking in terms of amenities. There was no toiletries provided. We wanted to buy some water from the hotel, but it only excepted cash. Even we paid the city tax in cash as card was not accepted. One thing that was very strange that we had to leave our room keys at the reception when we went out. This did not make me feel safe because I left all my things in the room. Even though nothing was taken, but the whole process of living room key reception is uncomfortable for me. But I would say overall for the price. It is a pretty good hotel.

IndiaThe days we visited that is 12 august was quite hot however the AC cooling was not effective .
The location is central however as Venice is many bridge and stairs even a 10 minutes walk with heavy luggage will be difficult so something very near water taxi station will be more convenient , however the property was nearby major attraction

United KingdomThe windows dont have nets, so mosquitos kept getting in somehow, including through the bedroom doors, even if you are great at policing your own windows. We have a plug in insect killer, but this did not seem to work for some reason on these flying menaces!

Very cosy and beautiful room with all necessary amenities. The host was very welcoming and she guided us with all our queries related to Venice. One of the best experiences. The property is very close to the Doge's Palace and Ferry stations which made it very easy for us to commute to tourist attractions and railway station.
