Very nicely renovated room looking over the garden. The beds are super comfortable. Beautiful roof top bar with great views over the city. Nice breakfast, very attentive and helpful personnel. Great location: near st Maria Novella we could go visit all the attractions by foot.

The only thing that I had a problem with was the staff at the reception. We ate dinner at the hotel and had some welcome drinks when we first arrived. During check-out, she told us that we drank prosecco and bear and we need to pay for it which we were told they were welcome drinks. I wanted to tell that, we were told that they were complimentary if we need to pay of course we would do so. She goes “we are not going to die from 20 euros.” which I thought was a bit rude.

Everything was very lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is incredible but the most beautiful thing was the building. You could really feel that history. The breakfast was really delicious as well. They upgraded us to suits because it was available which was a very nice thing to do. I would definitely come back again and recommend everyone to come here. The staff was very nice too. Such a unique experience!!

WiFi was not always functional in our room.

Location is great, you're 1 minute away from the Santa Maria Novella church, 3 mins away from the train station and 8-10 minutes away from the main attractions in Florence. Breakfast was amazing value for money and the staff was really kind and always smiling.

The only thing that we didn’t like was the temperature in the room. There were times when it got very hot…

We did not know the rooftop terrace was closed and apparently it opens only during the summer. It was the main reason we chose this hotel because the pictures looked nice !

The bed was way too soft. Suspect it had a topper on it and as they were two twins pushed together, I tended to fall into the middle. The room was way overheated, so glad I was able to open the window/door and sleep with them open. The bathroom was tiny, barely room to sit on the loo, but the room was a good size, so guess there has to be a comprise. Post covid there was no food or beverage service in the hotel outside breakfast. That was disappointing as a solo traveler it would have been nice to eat in on occasion, or have a spritz in the garden - even if it was February.

Breakfast was amazing. Coffee great and selection of food was brilliant. Staff friendly. The first room I was allocated was small and dingy, as I was there for 7 nights I asked for it to be changed, which the gracefully did do. Big thanks for that. Location close to the station and all the action in the old city was also great. The room had windows I could open, which was refreshing.

The only minor dissatisfaction: the bi-fold glass shower door was poorly designed. Water dripped down from the bottom of the shower door to the threshold and then spilled outside to the bathroom floor. Every time we finished taking shower, we had to use a few towels to dry up the very wet and slippery bathroom floor. The bathroom wall base molding was expanding after long period of moisture and its paint started to peel off, meaning it was a constant problem for previous guests. Except for this, the room and the bathroom were always kept clean by the housekeeping staff.

The noise. At the time of my stay, one of the lifts was out of order for refurbishment. The work was being done just under my room. I would have appreciated being told beforehand. There was also a children's party for carnival, and children were brought up to the roof, next to my room, and were a bit noisy. Again, I wasn't told anything. I understand that running such an amazing hotel isn't easy, but I repeat, I would have appreciated being informed beforehand so I could organise my stay.

The toilets are very small but it maybe just a common thing with italian hotels. Our room faces the road so it can be noisy especially at night and early morning.

The hotel room is huge for the family. It has two floors with sufficient beds for the 5 of us. The room is very clean and it has two toilets which helps. The hotel is a 5 minutes walk from the train station so it is very convenient. And it is also close to most of the key tourist spots. The hotel staffs are super friendly and very prompt with their service. Finally, we simply love the breakfast as the room comes with it.
