Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandSome details could get freshed up a bit such as sofas in lobby.
Best location in town, old and classy typical venetian style. Concierge team is amazing - they reserved us 3 hard to get restaurants and we had best table in each of them.

United Arab EmiratesMy last-minute trip to Venice for my mum's birthday was, thanks to Hotel Danieli, an unforgettable escape. With just a few hours notice, Andrea Guarda and Davide Tagliapietra reached out to ensure every detail was meticulously planned. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and professionalism of the staff were outstanding. Our meals at the breathtaking Terrazza by Danieli were nothing short of spectacular, with views that postcards are made of and staff whose courtesy and attentiveness were unmatched. The gym, open round the clock and equipped with the latest from Technogym, became our routine to fight jet lag . I can’t remember everyone's names, but I must say the collective effort of the staff left a lasting impression on us. Their willingness to accommodate our myriad of special requests and the carefully crafted itinerary they provided ensured we made the most of every moment. The exclusive invitations to visit the rooftop and Fondaco dei Tedeschi added a layer of exclusivity to our stay, making us feel truly special. For anyone seeking an experience that captures the essence of Venice with unparalleled hospitality, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Danieli.

LithuaniaNothing to complain about except for some light noise coming through the windows from lagoon side. Windows isolation could be better.
This hotel was a cherry on top in our journey in Venice. It is expensive - crazy expensive. But the ones who stay there rarely read Booking reviews ;) They now why they are booking it and what service they will get. It is high end, top notch hotel, a few steps from St. Marco square and nice Venetian Lagoon views. We had an amazing time here. The room is very nicely decorated, and the view from room and balkony to the Venetian Lagoon is worth the price. It was also very spacious and comfortable to spend time in it. Breakfast option is a great one, rich of food, great service, nice view, good feeling. We also tried local Restaurant Terrazza Danieli rooftop in the evening and were very happy with the service, food choice, atmosphere. Later you can enjoy live music and drink unique cocktails at Bar Terrazza Danieli. We also wondered via different floors and enjoyed the unique historical palazzo ceilings, furniture and spirit. We were greeted by special service, personal note upon arrival, bottle of Prosecco and a small Venetian delight for our celebration. All these small details counts! This is a place were you can really enjoy, relax and just stop for a moment from all the rush and buzz around you.

United KingdomOur only small complaint is that the lighting in the bedroom was rather dark.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful period property and is very comfortable and luxurious. The housekeeping was excellent and all the staff friendly and courteous. The position is also ideal for exploring Venice.

United States of AmericaIn a room the size we had would have preferred a couch to two small chairs since there was sufficient space to accommodate it.
It’s an absolutely gorgeous grand old Italian property. Elegant, beautiful, a distinctive and impressive hotel. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was large all marble. Room has all the niceties - complimentary water, mini bar, hood storage, free WiFi, English language channels on TV and an incredible view of the lagoon. Room 304. The staff at the Dandolo Bar and the Restaurant were attentive and charming. The food was always fantastic - but it can be really rich!!! Breakfast buffet with a view was lovely. It was a stunning hotel! Excellent location just off the craziness of Saint Mark’s Square.

SingaporeThe guestroom amenities were lacking. No tea/coffee or kettle but upon request it can be sent to the room. The circulation will not be friendly to the less abled because of the stairs to rooms in the block behind.
Stunning heritage building with very old world charm. Beautiful view of the back of the Doge’s Palace, the grand Canal and San Marco bell Tower.
