Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThe shower was a bit cramped, but fine. The floor was tiled, so a bit cold underfoot, but very clean.
I had a brilliant one-night stay at this lovely hotel in January. I enjoyed it from the moment I pulled into the super convenient parking space which had been reserved for me, right through to check out. The staff were friendly but efficient. My room was really great, it had a big double bed, with lots of space to move around it, and a balcony with a view over the valley. The location was ideal too: easily accessible by car but still part of the old city and only a 5 minute walk to the Duomo. Great value for money overall.

United States of AmericaHotel Dei Duchi is a first rate hotel with on foot access to many of the attractions of the old town. The stunning view through the glass walls of the breakfast/dining room revealed a lovely countryside and green woods. The RomanTheater is right next to the hotel! The well restored structure is accessed via a visit to the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, a 5 minute walk. Our large, high ceilinged, immaculate, modern room was warm and comfortable. We were given an extra bench for our 2 pieces luggage. The bathroom had a large sink, good floor space and an easy to use shower. Breakfast in the airy dining room was luxuriously ample, with a wide selection of fresh sweet and savory items. The buffet was beautifully presented, and constantly refilled. Pots of hot tea, coffee and hot chocolate were brought promptly. There was plenty of space if social distancing was desired. A dinner we had there one night was hot delicious and well served. The hotel also recommended La Taverna, a 5 minute walk away. The welcome was friendly, unfussy, yet attentive and the food was very good!

ItalyThe size of the room- two small for a couple with a 15-year-old daughter . We would have liked a balcony. There weren't any courtesy sets in the bathroom at the beginning ,only shampoo and shower gel that were stuck in the shower box and two small bars of soap. But, we have talked to the reception and sorted the issue pit. The parking at the hotel was full ,we were given a ticket for a huge parking but to get back to the hotel wasn't very easy either on foot or with the escalators ,it seemed an airport or underground, not very pleasant.
The breakfast was varied ,very good.We appreciated the lounge with very comfortable sofas and armchairs to have a drink or brunch. The food at the restaurant was excellent ,too. The position is perfect ,is right in the city centre.

United States of AmericaThe property provided good driving directions but would be helpful if they mentioned that we should not worry about TLZ sign a block before the hotel. This sign confused us.

IsraelI wish they had a swimming pool and charging pole for electric cars
We received a smaller room and after asking starting with the second night they moved us to a bigger and nicer room. The public parking for 5€ per day is located nearby. Breakfast selection is rich and the house restaurant serves a good dinner with nice selection of dishes at a very decent price
