Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I wish there were more veggies for breakfast. There is nothing else to state here really.
Surprisingly good breakfast, wide variety of cheese and meats comparing to some other hotels, very friendly staff, clean and renewed room and facilities, a bottle of complimentary wine plus some fruit even for one night stay! Quiet location, comfy bed, had a good sleep.

The view is not the best, but the location compensates for that. The walls could be more isolated from upstairs noise, but it was quiet throughout the night.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.
Being offered a glass of Prosecco while waiting for our room to be ready for early check-in. The breakfast was the best breakfast we've ever had at a hotel! The staff and owners went our of their way to make us feel special. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

I would have preferred a larger room with a seating area, but the hotel does not seem to offer this possibility. As it is, the room is comfortable though, and priced accordingly to its size. Tap water in the room was not really cold, only tepid or warm.
Excellent location within easy walking distance of the historic city centre of Asti, yet easy to reach by car with free parking. Complimentary bottle of local wine and a large fruit basket in the room. Extensive breakfast buffet with various pies, cheeses and sausages - much more choice than you typically get in a hotel this size, and it was all delicious.

Lovely hotel, great location next to a park and the centre of town. We were greeted with a free drink of choice, even alcoholic! The breakfast is unbelievable! Incredible array of choice, including a juicer with good choice of fresh fruit and veggies to juice. Staff is excellent, and owners are always available to answer questions. Very helpful. Our room was bright and super clean. .

The lovely room, basket of fruit and bottle of wine were so welcoming I almost cried. This was the break we were looking for after interesting, but tiring visits in Florence and Venice. Easy access to Barolo, Asti is a town just lively enough for an 11pm dinner. The breakfast is off the hook! Homemade pastries that will make your day!

Great people working there. So helpful. Delicious breakfast and good books to read at breakfast , by reception area. Lovely local restaurants extremely close by serving authentic local dishes and in a good rustic family environment

If you travel to ASTI you must stay here. They treat you like family. The breakfast is the best breakfast I’ve ever seen. So fresh, so much selection. The area is not too touristy so customer service is above and beyond expectations. Even in the town. The hotel is beside a park so evenings can be spent in the park.

Guest rooms could be more colorful but otherwise adequate with comfortable beds and clean, efficient bathrooms.
The Hotel Lis located across street from lovely city park offers a bountiful breakfast including cooked to order eggs as well as well equipped guest rooms. Staff is always there and helpful by for example informing us of the museum ticketing system that requires a visit to Palazzo Mazzett to purchase a Smart Ticket for entry to Asti's many museum that have no live attendants but require the Smart Card for entry. Value for money!
