The bed was hard, but so were all the other beds in Sicily! The water pressure in the shower was pretty hopeless when you had the hot tap on.

The room was a good size and did have a view of the sea when you were standing up on the small terrace. The hotel is in a good location - close to the train/bus station; quiet; a short walk to Ortygia in one direction and also walking distance to the museum/archaeological park in the other direction. Completely fine for a couple of nights, especially if like us you spend most of your time out and about!

This is a great location at a great price with the best restaurant (L'Ufficio) right across the street. The staff is VERY helpful!

The hotel was a bit far from Ortigia Island where one wants to spend most of one's time. I had a foot injury which made it difficult to go to the Island often. My room being right next to the lift and reception was often noisy along with a faulty machine noise in the cupboard in the room. No light over desk or over the bathroom mirror. Otherwise, Lorenzo especially and the other staff were fantastic and very helpful ! I would have chosen a different hotel but the biking tour I was on had selected this.

The hotel was adequate and clean. Lorenzo especially and staff were fantastic and very helpful. Well located for bus terminal but not so much for the rest of Sircuasa highlights.

Although we had a balcony, the wall was so high we could not see over it so it was more like a roofless tiny room for two. Breakfast was rather basic and is down steep steps in basement. Not a good choice if you have walking difficulties.

Hotel was about halfway between and in easy walking distance of Ortigia and the Archaelogical Park. It was very easy to get to in the hire car with parking right outside. Very warm welcome and adequate room for the three of us. Handy for good choice of restaurants, we lovef La 7 Spezie just 100 metres away.

Parking in the area is very tough - hardly any space available, even for as little car as Fiat500.

Great location, walking distance from Ortigia. Spacious room, big bathroom, kind and helpful staff. Vintage and traditional furniture adds some flavour to the stay. Check out the tiles in bathroom - how very Italian ;) Breakfast just fine, pretty much standard.

The day staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. The "balcony" has walls on all sides, only a hole in the roof lets some sunlight in. They charge 5 Euros per person per night extra. Only 1.5 Euro are city tax, the rest is for "service", meaning it should have been included in the price. It's a rip-off. The beds are very uncomfortable.

The night staff was very friendly. Good location between train station and the old town.

Asked for lift and told yes. Small lift that you needed to continually press until it stopped at your floor. However, our room was on floor above where the elevator stopped so we had to hand carry up 2 flights. Room OK. Wi Fi with poor signal. Hand held shower fell out of the wall and was not fixed. Shower small. Breakfast was horrible- stale bread and cold coffee. Staff not too friendly. Gave impression you were imposing on their time if you asked questions of day staff. PM staff much nicer. Parking on the street-unsure where you park if street is full.

Walking distance to the old town.

A simple continental breakfast needn't be just sickly processed mush. And I'm used to B&Bs having no idea how to make a cup of tea - but abysmal coffee too, in Italy!? Also, Syracuse (and humans within it) has been entirely sacrificed to cars (apart from parts of the historic centre): it's completely inhuman having to virtually climb over cars just to walk along the pavement.

Near train and bus stations; also near main points of interest.
