Room facing the square and church seemed like a good idea, but unfortunately a lot of the noise penetrated the room ( even with double glazed windows ). Evenings could be a bit noisy.

Location is excellent, especially for train access to SMN Station. Easy stroll to the Arno and Duomo, and less cross in the area.

Perfect hub for everything around Florence. Most thing within walking distance. Enjoyed our breakfast and the staff were all lovely! Bed was very comfy!

Very noisy if room facing the square although the view is wonderful. Air conditioning not turned on yet so requested a fan which was provided quickly.

Great location, near train station and close to Duomo area. Lovely clean hotel with very comfortable rooms on a corner of Santa Maria Novello Square. Quiet and restful after long flight, the sweet woman who brought me wine on front terrace gave me excellent restaurant suggestions. Some of the front desk staff could be a little friendlier but otherwise it was ideal and I would recommend to anyone desiring a restful

We had issues with noise during the night, ending with multiple times waking up because of the noise coming from outdoors, like a continuous motor running with a very high volume.

Room was very large and comfortable. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff is nice and helpful. I forgot to bring a charger for my phone and they provided it for free.

Thought the staff were rude on arrival. They told me I needed to wait to be served then proceeded to serve the next person that walked in before me. Some nights were noisy outside with revellers in the square.

The air condition could use an upgrade. I visited during the spring, and the temperatures in the city were a pleasant 19 C/66 F. The room was at 24 C/75 F. I tried to cool it down, but it took a long time. I can't imagine waiting so long in the hot summer months to feel the room cool.

The hotel delivers on comfort, a very good room for a well-deserved rest after hours of walking, and is conveniently positioned a short walk away from the train station and main city attractions. For regular travelers like myself, who are a bit more relaxed and forgiving of the little details because "Things happen," you'll find a property that meets expectations for the price; it is not a luxury hotel, so don't expect it just because it has 4 stars; it's an old building like pretty much all of Florence that has been reworked over the years, yet you still find remnants of the years the building has and might find unacceptable for a 4-star hotel you're used to; personally, I find it an immersive experience. A solid 8 out of 10 in my opinion, I would definitely stay in it again.

I found the breakfast poor. I expected more, especially at these room prices. This was the first time I saw a hotel using plastic cups for juice and water. It is not only about location. I also did not like that the family suite was in another building outside the main hotel. Maybe I missed this in the room description but in any case this is a piece of information that should stick out.

The breakfast was great, I enjoyed the food every morning I stayed. The location is so convenient, it is about a couple of hundred meters from the train station, and it is so close to the duomo. The room was beautiful we had a view of the square in front of the hotel. the minibar was free, so we did not have to buy water when we were in Florance.

Dogs in the hotel, had to share a lift ride with a beast of a hound and its owner. I'm allergic to dogs and didn't like that at all. Could hear it bark a few rooms down the hall during the day.

Spacious room, well decorated. Good quality feel to it all. Bathroom good and clean. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast plenty of choice and worth the money. Perfectly located near tram and all major attractions. literally in the city center. Taxi stand in front of hotel. Airport 30 minutes by tram for less than 2 euro. Many nice restaurants and bars around the hotel. The hotel itself doesn't serve lunch or dinner.
