Beautiful view of Santa Maria Novella and plaza. The hotel is charming and the hotel staff was outstanding! Kevin went above and beyond to upgrade our room. Breakfast was delicious as well!

The hotel's own bar was weird, and even the hotel common areas were taken over by club-goers at night. So, there was really not a hotel bar/restaurant to feel comfortable within as a tourist. I felt more like an intrusion upon a private event every night instead of a guest at a hotel. Would I have felt welcomed there? I didn't bring a suit and tie on this vacation, and couldn't make myself 24 years old again, so I never felt the courage to ask. The Santa Cocktail Club doesn't really seem necessary for this type of place. Indicates the hotel's interest in local nightlife vs hotel guests. Maybe they do what they need to survive as a business/hotel, and that's ok. Just let me know ahead of time so I can plan. Check-out experience was a very cold, business interaction to pay city tax with the host having to change rooms multiple times to determine a city tax fee. Not even a "Ciao" as I dragged bags onto the cool, rainy streets. Interior rooms without a view are probably more quiet.

The hotel was really nice...excellent furnishings and common areas. Room was comfortable, and housekeeping was attentive. Staff was kind, for the most part. Location is near the train station, perfect for day trips by train, and still not far from any Florence attraction by foot. Decent breakfast. City view was wonderful, overlooking Piazza Santa Maria Novella. Overall, it was a good stay.

All good. My only issue is that the gym Could be better equipped - but that’s my ask. Gym was quite empty - so perhaps people don’t feel the need to lift weights after a day walking around.

Everything is perfect: comfortable room, nice breakfast and very friendly staff. We had a wonderful experience in Florence. Will definitely consider a second stay if we go to Italy again.

We stayed in the larger three bedroom apartment in the annex building near the hotel. It was absolutely perfect for our family of six. The breakfast was delightful. The staff was so kind and friendly. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. It was the cutest apartment right in the middle of a beautiful square! We loved the balcony and watching people walk by and the birds fly in at sunset, couldn’t have been better!

There was a weird odor in the hallways of the building - like rotten eggs/gas. It wasn’t bad in the apartment , thank goodness.

The restaurant and bar is a bit over priced and doesn’t offer much options for dinner . It’s better to get dinner outside as the area is commutable .

The bar design is trying to be different. It doesnt work. They should just have stuck to traditional. And the lobby/reception area could use a bit of love.

Beautifully appointed in an old world style. School of Mongiardino. Incredibly courteous and genuinely friendly staff.
