Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceThe bathroom wasnt clean. I saw a small black hair under the toilet seat. The inside part of the toilet where the water stands if it stood still for hours it would turn yellow or orange just like there was pee inside which was not very pleasant.
PERFECT location, near the city Center and Vatican. Beautiful neighbourhood! We stayed in a building near the main Hotel. Its wasn’t as beautiful as it was the main building but it was okey. The room was cute, with a comfortable bed and a very nice touch was the tall window, so the room could be chill and sunny. We had room service everyday, who threw out the garbage and tidied up the duvet and the bed sheets. The staff was very kind and very helpful

GreeceThe bathroom was renewed but the opening door for the shower was too small. If you are a bigger person you might have an issue. Unfortunately the hotel didn't provide any breakfast but near it you will find plenty bars for that.
The Hotel was very good for the price. We stayed 6 nights and it was incredibly close to any attraction in Rome. We asked multiple times for directions and information from the reception on the hotel and they kindly answered all our questions. We stayed at the annex of the hotel that was down the same street. It was an old building with a scary elevator but it was a nice experience. The room was always clean and it had a nice temperature. All rooms on the 4th floor was renewed as far as we know. If we ever visit Rome again we will definitely visit it again.

United States of AmericaThe facility crossed the line of having charm into just plain old dated. The furniture is seriously dated along with the building. I traveled with my husband and 5 kids - each with one to two devices. We couldn’t charge them all at once or the power would go out. We lost power twice- one night they came right back on but the first time it happened we out of power until the reception opened back up the next morning. Reception closed at 9 pm. I personally like hotels that have sometimes have staff available 24/7 Rooms had good ole fashioned keys that we had to keep up with or risked being locked out until staff returned in the morning, I guess. There is an emergency number that they give you at check in, though. I could never reach them on that phone number but one staff told me that I needed to call using the “What’s app” after hours.
Location. The furtherest walk was to Roma Termini and that was a 40 minute walk. It wasn’t a bad walk-there was a lot to see along the way so it wasn’t bad. We pretty much walked everywhere, even to the zoo. We took the bus to the Colosseum but walked to the Vatican, Spanish steps, Pantheon, shopping, restaurants, etc. Staff were friendly. Despite fears from reading previous reviews, we did have very hot water on demand. We slept comfortably. There were 7 of us and we each had our own bed except for me and my husband, of course. Beds were comfy and there were adequate pillows. My husband and I stay in the family suite with our two younger children and they had their own beds and bath. The rooms are small though. I enjoyed the Juliet balconies in each room - that was charming and practical bc I sometimes get hot through the night.

TurkeyOld boutique hotel. Small bathroom. No water bottle in the room. Heating is done via AC and it was loud. Two single beds merged instead of king bed. Duvet was not in the cover but separate, never seen something like this before.

United KingdomIts fantastic they offer to hold luggage before check in and after check out. Unfortunately, when I checked in the one receptionist was on the phone for 10+ minutes. I was told my luggage was in the room. However, that was not the case and it took 30 min for the luggage to arrive. Fair to say, this resulted in not having time to start sightseeing that day.
Fantastic buildings and atmosphere. Convenient location.

BrazilThe AC makes uncomfortable noises, but not a big deal.
The hotel aesthetic is awesome, classic hallways and classic stairs. The crew is hospitable and interested in giving you recommendations of restaurants and sightseeing. There's great snacks during check in and checkout. The facilty is well located (5 mins to castel sant'angelo, 10 mins to the vatican). The room is decent sized, clean and organized.

United KingdomFacilities were very basic, although clean and comfortable the room was a little dated no phone despite there being a phone point in the room switches were old, travel kettle small fridge sitting on floor there wasn’t always tea and milk and there was no light at cupboard so meant it was very hard to see what you put in there. We stayed for five nights and the price was excellent but l am not sure l would return.
