The location wasn't a problem for us but is 'out of town' and if people were uncomfortable with baggage I would recommend transport. Breakfast for our taste (UK travellers) was a little 'sweet' heavy and savoury options might have been expanded but this did not reduce the stay whatsoever.

Lovely, large and open rooms and we have a beautiful view of the pool area and surrounding mountainous region. Beds and bathrooms were clean and well-funding. The poolside was well maintained as were the communal areas. This is a lovely island and very much a hidden-gem still.

I wish I knew the room didn’t have a stand up shower only a large tub with a spray handle. Not sure if it’s like that in all the rooms.

It's a bit of a trek from the port, although taxis are readily available.

We stayed here with a group of friends and thought it was excellent. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and everything worked well. Breakfast was very good. The pool was exceptional. Lipari is a beautiful place. Would happily stay here again!

We stayed there four nights and wish we could have stayed much longer! Loved this place!

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel with wonderful amenities, including a beautiful outdoor pool in a lovely setting. The hotel is situated just a few blocks from the historic center in a great location. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast buffet is wonderful... so many delicious choices. The staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We are especially grateful to Francesca and Valentina among the other outstanding staff at the reception.

The location offers a beautiful view, but reaching the hotel involves a short uphill climb. With heavy luggage it can be a bit inconvenient, so taking a taxi is highly recommended.

I loved my stay at this hotel in Lipari! Breakfast was amazing, especially the homemade pastries – fresh, tasty, and a real treat to start the day. The staff were super kind and professional, always ready to help with a smile. A perfect place to enjoy the island!

Location wise - it’s good, as it’s out of the centro and quiet but if you aren’t very active, you’ll need to get transfers or taxis up the hill. Something to keep in mind

Even though we were upgraded to a suite, few issues... no shower head, only hand held shower in a spa bath, with no curtain. Not ideal for a suite and water sprays on floor. Water in fridge is not complimentary which it should be like all hotels. Furniture is more older style but, was comfortable and fine - depends on taste. Overall had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tritone and Lipari.

The hotel is spacious with good amenities, pretty good breakfast, and short walk to town. We were upgraded to a suite which was lovely, very large, 2 separate rooms and huge balcony overlooking the ocean. the staff were very friendly and good pool area. The people of Lipari are so friendly and personable, just a delightful place to visit. We went to Stromboli for the night volcano viewing and lucky enough to see sprays of magna. Good tour to do.

The shower was often tepid which is fine in July but still not ideal. However, I decided to get a massage in the spa area and it was, by far, the worse massage I have ever had. I don’t know what this person thought she was doing but tapping me on my head (a lot!) and wiggling my arms is not a sports massage. I went from bafflement, to almost laughing out loud, to being actually pissed off that I was paying 70 euros for someone to vaguely poke at me for an hour. The worst part was during th massage she did actually semi massage my neck for about forty five seconds and then afterwards she’s like you know you have a tense neck, you could book a second treatment for that and I was like well maybe if you had actually massaged me this time that I have already paid for… my neck wouldn’t be so tense.

The room was cozy, the staff was all very nice and the location was great. I liked the little balcony and having a fridge in the room was convenient.

Lovely location on a hillside about 5-10 minutes walk from old town and the marina. Staff were super friendly and our room (and the rest of hotel) was spotless. Breakfast was good- pastries/cakes, yoghurt, cereals and fruits plus some eggs & bacon. Stayed for 5 nights and would definitely stay here again.

Amazing property. The room was lovely, as was the pool, which came in handy in the middle of summer, but it was the staff that left an impression on us. They could not have been any better. Always quick to help and they were fantastic with our 3 year old daughter, including always remembering her name, which made her feel very special. We will only stay at Hotel Tritone from now on when travelling to Lipari

The restaurant, more specifically the breakfast; there seems to be a disconnect in service quality between the hotel management / reception and the restaurant. Each morning we found a table without cutlery, other times there were no glasses, cups or plates a available and the breakfast featured nothing local/typical but rather industrial oven baguettes and toast, packaged marmalade and honey, mini croissants as well as ham and cheese from the supermarket. Despite being aware this is an island and sourcing is a challenge, I believe there would be potential to for example leverage local bakeries and providers of ham/cheese and offer marmalade and honey from Italy instead. Moreover, the breakfast staff was not proactive at all, neither did they put the cutlery on the table when we sat down, nor did they ask if we wanted coffee/tee. Instead we had to seek their attention and catch them to order something. For a 4* superior a disappointing experience. Unfortunately this is in stark contrast with the rest of the very positive experience we had with the hotel.

the hotel is spacious, the pool area is great and very clean, the room was generously big and had a nice balcony with pool and sea-view. the staff at the reception was very welcoming as was the barkeeper.

The location. While not too far from the Main Street, the hotel is set up on a hill which makes for a very hard climb back after dinner or a walk. Was particularly difficult due to the very hot weather we experienced
