Close to the train station and bus stop as trains weren’t running. Great facilities at the property. The property manager was in touch and reachable when we needed. Great recommendations for food and activities provided.

It could be a bit noisy outside with people wheeling cases down the hill, but that was a price worth paying for being at the bottom of the hill. Unfortunately there were no trains running during our stay which made it slightly harder to get to using the bus replacement. If trains are running it is in a perfect location.

The location was excellent a short walk from the lake. A very comfortable apartment. It was nice to have an outside seating area. There were supplies of tea, coffee and oil etc. It was great to have a washing machine with washing liquid also provided.

Did not get codes to enter apartment 24hrs in advance as previously advised. Phoned owner on arrival & was given codes to enter building & flat.

Some noises from cars as location is next to a road. But since we were exploring lake como towns whole day it was not a problem for us.

Easy access from train station and a quick walk to the ferry. Large sofa bed and clean toilet. Parking available . It does what it says. Functional air conditioning and a small super market close by.

Nothing at all

In general the accommodation excited our expectations. Right next to the local train station but absolutely quiet location! The only thing you listen to is a river outside and the birds chirping. Fully remote check-in with no physical keys, super easy. Although we never met the hosts in person, they had provided us absolutely everything we needed, from apartment related to restaurants, cafes, even boat tours. Apartment also very very comfy and clean!

Lots of noise from pedestrians going to and from train station

Handy location to train and ferry. An easy walk into Varenna. Apartment light and airy with good cooking facilities. Comfy bed.

The convenience of the location to the station meant you can hear travelers wheeling their luggage up and down the hill all day. Small price to pay, and worth the minor annoyance for the convenience of everything else.

Close to the station, and close to everything else! Beautiful apartment, and very well equipped! All around lovely! The terrace was spectacular!

We had both apartments and it was perfect for our stay. It was so close to the train station which was great with so much luggage and such a close walk down to the water/ferry. The owners were very helpful and contactable when we had a small power outage. I’d definitely recommend this place and will be coming back myself!

The apartment is clean and comfortable. The location is convenient to the train station. My mother and her husband stayed in this apartment and they were able to navigate the steps.

Location and the ambience around it 2 minutes walk to the dawn town, lake, railway station, cruise and most of the eating outlets.

We had a problem with the check in as we were given the wrong unit number which caused some confusion however, to the host's credit, they came over in person and sorted everything out. I think if there is a problem, its good to see someone willing to attend in person even though it was raining and resolve the problem.
