How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Two ladies causing drama during check in and during breakfast. Staff should impose themselves and not allow clients to act like that, shouting and speaking loudly during breakfast time. One of the clients was seen stuffing lots of croissants, yogurts, cheese, jam and fruits in her bag. I could see staff and clients were uncomfortable but no one said anything.
Breakfast was nice and diverse. Room was cosy and everything seemed fine. The guy and the lady at the reception were nice. They gave us a voucher for a free drink but we didn't have the time to use it. Maybe next time we go to Milan.

Breakfast was varied as a continental goes but not fully to our taste. We managed toast and cold meats/cheese most mornings. Coffee and pastries were fabulous.
Great location not too far from metro stations and short trip to main train station. It is in a mainly residential area and we felt safe walking about.

a bit too far to walk into the centre. Breakfast room really small and very busy.

It’s my third time in this hotel and it’s always a pleasure stay here. I arrived an hour earlier and the receptionist was kind enough to check me in earlier, thank you!

The Tv was all italian, so I didn´t see. The room was ok for me, but for 3 persons which it could accommodate it was a little small.
I stayed one night. Came late left early so I didn´t stay that much at the hotel. Nice little hotel with smiling and helpful staff. Breakfast was ok. The coffee was good. Beads vere fine and the comfort ok. It was nice and clean. Good value for money.

Problems with sound insulation. There were no slippers in the room, but they were brought if needed. There was a bathrobe in the bathroom.
A good room and worth the money. Suitable for a weekend. Good and polite staff. Delicious coffee and good breakfast. The room is clean and pleasant to stay in.

Breakfast was not what I was expecting, the variety was okay but the quality of the eggs were quite bad, I did not felt good for the whole day after eating them. The location was not that close to the city center or the Central Train Station. There was not much around and getting around from the hotel was not easy.
For its price of €50 per night, I really liked the hotel. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the area of the hotel was not close to the city itself but the area was quite nice.

The air con wouldn’t go below 21° and the way windows open you could not leave them open whilst you were out, therefore room was always too hot

It was a bit strange that the water in the room required payment afterwards, just 1 thin blanket, if fruit finished no one brought more fruit during breakfast
Very clean room, nice staff, enough space for everything and the space is well-organized, good breakfast area, not small. Quiet location, bus stop is very close, shops near the hotel, cleaned the room every day. All in all it is a very good option

there were issues with public transport and it wasn't very clear where we had to catch the bus from. We ended up walking quite a lot with two little kids.

Location was much further out from main attractions than we’d anticipated and a trek to the nearest Metro. Taxi cost varied between 10-17 euros.
Spacious clean comfortable room, but a little tired. Sheets & towels still in fairly good condition. Good choice for bfast and staff very attentive. For a hotel chain I would say soon time for investment in refurbishment.
