Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWe had a wonderful stay. Pino was really accommodating and always had a funny story to tell. He even wanted to pick us up from a restaurant when it was raining. We will definitely be back ! The view is fantastic and it was amazing to be able to go back to our little house after a full day of Rome.

Germany-
A beautiful spot in the mountains of Palestrina an Castel San Pietro Romano with unbelievable view over the romain landscape with sunset every night. At our arrival we could not believe how nice, clean, friendly and wonderful this place is, and thought it has to have a hidden downside, but it didn‘t! The owner were really nice and attentive. A beautiful addition to our stay was the lovely, fresh and daily handmade breakfast. Pool, appartment, and estate was always clean and tidy.

AustraliaFridge was not plugged in which took me a bit by surprise when I went to put some leftovers in there. Remote location from shops unless you have transport.
The Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. They offered to drop us off at the train station in their car on the day we were leaving. There was an amazing restaurant that was a 10 minute walk from the house. The restaurant was cash only so be prepared. Amazing food at the restaurant too. The location of the house is breath taking and they have a pool which is set against some stunning views.

United Kingdomunfortunately the owners can't control the weather , but the apartment was well equipped to have a buffet lunch
Breakfast was superb every morning. The owners made time to chat about local restaurants , villages and alternative places to visit like FRASCATI and TIVOLI. There were 2 Agriturismo restaurants close by , but our favourite restaurant was in the main square of CAPRANICA, 8 kms away, but truly Italian in style and unexpected

From the moment we arrived in the pouring rain, we were made to feel welcome. Pino and Paola were the most gracious hosts leaving freshley baked treats in our room daily. Everything was spotless and the apartment was equiped with all that we needed plus more. Spectacular view over Rome. One of our best stays in Italy and one we will never forget. Delicious breakfast every morning, upon request savoury breakfast is available. The place has amazing view of Rome. Pool area is very well maintained with loads of sunbeds. The apartment has a little kitchen with microwave and hob so we could prepare a food as well. The restaurants are within a 1-2 km and the car is recommended.

South AfricaA little kettle and/or a teapot would be a helpful (and Anglophone friendly) addition to an otherwise well equipped little kitchen.
Splendid views, convenient and peaceful location, very good value for money. The owners don't really speak English (no reason why they should), but they were lovely people, and we particularly appreciated our delicious home made breakfast treats!

United KingdomThere is nothing I didn't like about this wonderful place. I can't fault it.
Pino and Paula went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need! As mentioned in other reviews the shower is a little small yet this really didn't bother us. The beds are comfortable, the bedding fresh, and the room absolutely spotless clean. The grounds of the property are beautiful, the pool kept pristine with multiple options of furniture to spend an afternoon reading a book. Even with full occupancy you still feel like you have the place to yourself. The location is wonderful, we visited Hadrian's villa one day which was well worth it. Fully recommend the local town Palestrina for nice restaurants, and the small village close by, Castel San Pietro Romano is nice for a walk around. We also stopped in Zagarolo one afternoon which is very picturesque and peaceful. The view from the property takes your breath away, and the sunset is perfect every evening. Paula makes everything for the breakfast fresh and it really is a great start to the day, higher than our expectations and the best breakfast I have had at a B&B. Pino and Paula are very friendly and welcoming, we really didn't want to leave and we will absolutely be back in the near future. Thank you for everything!
