Decor in room a little dated

Breakfast were delicious and food plentiful. The property had an outdoor pool and an indoor pool in the spa. It was perfect as it cooled down late afternoon and I went to the peaceful spa pool which was just as big as the outdoor pool. The room smelled of the lovely products in the rooms

The dinner restaurant whilst very fancy was perhaps just trying too hard and the prices are steep. Also the gym equipment was a little run down (wobbly treadmill and broken spin bike). Also I happened to be in a noisy room where I think the staff were above me, and one night they were very rowdy. Some kind of temper tantrum being thrown which tends to happen a lot post Covid! When I phoned reception to complain they were very embarrassed but a little helpless in trying to calm the situation. I’d put this down to a one off as the rest of my stay was lovely

The whole estate was beautiful, from the gardens, to the pool, and the entire building. The breakfast was amazing, the wait staff by the breakfast and pool bar are friendly and receptive to your every ask. Everywhere you look across the estate their is an instagram picture! The reception and check in was swift and accommodating. The restaurant is five star.

When checking into the room, the wardrobe was smelly. not as in musty but ‘sour’ as if someone had left wet clothes. Reported to front desk and was immediately taken care off by housekeeping. No more smelly wardrobe when we returned after sightseeing :-)

The domain with respect for the hundreds of years old olive trees, beautifully integrated. Indoor swimming pool was great, main reason why we booked, as later in the season hence colder to enjoy outdoor pool. Nice breakfast and well organised under Covid rules. On the first floor and without own balcony/terrace but there’s plenty of seating area’s on the domain, especially when not busy in October. For a standard room (215) spacious, both room and bathroom.

Shower was a bit small and not per se of 5 star standard but was good enough for us. I am not sure what it would be like when there is a wedding… we were just in between two… maybe they do t rent out rooms but don’t know…

the Masseria was spaciously set up but not too big (around 45 rooms) with a lot of places to sit and relax. Very large swimming pool with good beds and free towel service. Beautiful patio for dinner and best breakfast food and location! very big room and bed. I also loved that in the early evening they close all the shutters of the room and tidy the bed.

no major issue… but: Booking system for any activity including staying by the external pool (never full when we were there while the hotel was full) Beds could be more comfy Missing some nights with soft music to have a drink after dinner (there is plenty of space out there)

The setting amongst thousand-year-old olive trees Swimming pools (heated one in spa + normal one outside) Room decoration and space : we even had 2 bathrooms in the room ! Great Breakfast served by the pool and fine dining Does not feel crowded Cats hanging around, looking for free petting :) Would certainly recommend the place overall !

Everything amazing. Room and cleaning service was perfect. The room was super quite which we loved. Breakfast was simply gorgeous, plenty of fresh fruit, pastries and salty specialities.

There was a wedding at the property during our stay. As is with weddings, there was loud music and people floating around. We would have liked to be notified of this as we were kept up until late, not great when you're paying this much for accomodation. Courtyard rooms are mediocre at best, ours was tired & very dark. Our windows looked out onto a hallway and foot traffic could see straight in.

The breakfast was AWESOME, staff are lovely! Site has excellent facilities, we made use of the gym & pool during our stay & were happy with both.

Everything above. It’s too dated.

If you’re coming expecting 5 stars you will surely be disappointed. It’s too outdated. At best 4 stars. The best thing about it is it’s location. It may have the frame of a luxury accommodation. But it needs massive renovation to get to 5 star quality.

The location proved to be too far away from shops and restaurants and taxis are really pricey. Would recommend you hire a car if thinking of staying here.
