From room one, the view is amazing. The place fits the town - it is an extension of the wonderful Montepulciano. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is truly magical - hard to explain. Old world beauty with modern day convenience.

The history in the walls and the authenticity of the place, bonus to meet the owners on arrival. The receptionist was amazing, relaxed but very attentive and made great suggestions for us.

The only problem I see is that if someone has mobility problems they may consider staying somewhere else due to being at the top of Montepulciano. Then again we took the trolley back up the hill in afternoon.

The breakfast is very poor. I would rather pay a bit higher price but would be nice to have more options (there was no cheese, ham or vegetables), the bread was also not fresh.

The receptionist was super kind, we got very nice recommendation for vine tasting at De Ricci. I also like the 11 check out option as it is not easy to move around with the car and luggages.

Well, where to start, it was all so good? The reception from Mama Ivana and Papa Gio was magnificent. (Over 60 years of marriage) Also, Lavigno (spelling) was very helpful prior to my arrival and upon arrival. Excellent recommendations for culinary adventures were provided. De Ricci winery - a wonderful visit to the wine cellar in town followed by lunch at the vineyard. Osteria Aquacheta for wonderful bifstecca, what a highlight. Reservations for both are required. Luciano, the barber, provided wonderful shaves with his 75 years of experience. La Botegga del Nobile for wonderful wine tasting and dining experience provided by Lorenzo. The accommodation is well appointed and very well kept. This is the only place that I will stay in Montepulciano!

Not the easiest old town to navigate to reach the hotel but once located very central with easy access to the town. Parking was a 5-10 min walk away. Breakfast was extra!

It was a steep walk coming back from the center of town.

The view from our room was breath taking. The property was clean. We appreciated the use of the elevator that went from the street to the room level any time of the day. The staff was so helpful getting us taxis and giving us recommendations for anything we wanted to do. We also liked the access to the rooftop for a glass of wine at the end of the day!
