Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

300 m / 5 min walk from the bus and railway station. Perfectly clean room exactly as at the photos. Everything was working properly. Really nice and comfortable bed with orthopedic mattress and pillows. Close to the city centre yet a very quiet at night location with multiple shops and cafes nearby. There’s a lift in the building. And special thanks to Angela for doing her best for our trip to be as nice as possible, giving advice and helping with the stay! ❤️ Recommend to stay here whenever you’re in Sorrento

Everything was excellent.
Great location, right up the hill from the train station. Easily the best experience I had when in Italy. It was a last minute booking and the communication with the host was very quick and easy. New towels every night, very spacious, very clean bathroom and a quiet place to stay that’s close to the beach clubs and beach street.

I loved the warm welcome Of the owner Angela! From the very beginning she took good care of us! Made sure we knew what we can visit in sorrento! The property was cleaned every day . She always answered our questions and was very kind and helpful. Location was also close to everything we wanted to see . I would recommend her property for sure !!

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location, 10 mins walk into sorrento town. Really clean and cleaning ladies were really friendly. Our host (Manuela) was also super helpful and helped with our questions about parking/ferry etc.

Great location. 4 minute walk from the center of Sorrento and near lots of great spots! The host was amazing. She cleaned the room every day restocking water coffee and toilet paper. She was so kind and gave us a good explanation of Sorrento and what to do. 10/10 would recommend!

Not a great balcony space but you get what you pay for!
Perfect location to see Sorrento, water daily, fresh bedding and towels everyday - big place. Lovely host

The property is a 10 minute walk to the main square. Our check in at 8:00 was accommodated and we were given instructions and recommendations for places to eat in the area.
The property met our needs and was clean, good sized, close to amenities. The staff were attentive in cleaning and when we returned they offered to accommodate us. They were very friendly.

The bed was hard and the pillows were also flat and hard - not comfortable. Our room backed onto a kids school which meant hearing the kids early in the morning during the weekdays.
Location is great. Close to the train station and town center.

If only breakfast could be included. I hate to cook and had to walk to breakfast every morning
The host!!! Angels was such a responsive host . Couldn’t meet her but she answered to all my queries immediately. Train station just a minute walk . Nice breakfast place just below . We had breakfast there daily . Nice clean modern apartment- ideal for a family of four.

The AC wasn’t very good . It worked just didn’t go down as low as we would have like .
Great location .. 5 mins from the train station and 10 minutes from town . It’s also across from an amazing Italian steak house ( def recommend) . The room had a decent terrace with a table and 2 chairs . The woman who meet us was really nice and very accommodating. We were also allowed to leave our bags there the following day when we checked out which was great 😊
