Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

We had an excellent stay. The first evening we had a lovely diner at The balcony. The food was great, so was The breakfast. The last day we had to leave very early before breakfast but the landlord was so nice and he serve breakfast for us even though it was before breakfast hours, Really good service!

RomaniaAgriturismo Il Sogno with an owner da incubo (nightmare) that made us feel unconfortable every evening for arriving late. Because of his very rude attitude we did not have dinner there although we planned to have it there before arriving at the property. He only speaks Italian although most of the tourists while we were there were forigners... The breakfast was Italian with everything sweet. Luckily I had with me some simple yogurt to feed my 1 year old daugther the first morning as she did not like the fruit offered. There was no cleaning in the room during the 3 nighs we were there; somehow we expected this but at least the garbage should have been taken out without us asking since we were there with a small kid that uses diapers... We did not feel welcomed there as he was sighing with every small request from every tourist... The room was hot because of the lack of AC and there were a lot of insects while sleeping with the windows open... The last morning he was asking some other tourists if they wanted dinner and when they asked what it consisted of, he said there was no menu and started to swear... like that's not a valid question... He was also swearing the morning we left... Hence the 1 rating che cazzo!

We enjoyed the mountain scenery, having dinner outdoors. Food was amazing. Home cooked, and great value for money. Some of the best we had in Northern Italy 🇮🇹

GermanyBeware! We entered into a fight between the landlord and his wife which the man extended on us being somewhat between angry and aggressive. After he smashed the checkin documents on the table and made clear that we are not welcome we left. Recommending booking.com to remove this location from the list.

GermanyLovely location not too close to the overcrowded areas, ideal for families with children. Lots of fresh air (located up on the hills), great views and the hospitality of the owners made our holiday exceptional. Strongly recommend ordering a dinner and confitures.
