Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The only problem was the single bed. It is not too confortable and surrounded by wooden stages. But in general everything was good
The property was clean and good for 3 persons. The staff was so nice and kind. Good hospitality and instructions.

Noisy neighbours in other rooms not respecting the quiet hours woke me up multiple times at 2am 3am... scraping furniture across the floor and talking loudly is all very audible through the walls/doors. A minor point: to squeeze a bidet into the small bathroom, the toilet was placed almost under the sink - not very comfortable to use!
Very friendly and helpful staff/owner. Easy check in and out even when no one present. Kitchen unit with everything needed for simple cooking. It's on a side street so shielded from traffic on the main road. Short walk to/from metro and train station. Shops etc. very close by.

The walls must be paper thin because we could hear EVERYTHING our neighbours were doing in the other rooms.
It was accessible and cleaning was done every day.

Quite small unit, but has everything needed.
There was no breakfast, despite the name. Regardless, many other options were readily available.

The temperature wasn't changing - the air conditioner didn't really do its job. But not a big issue. No soap.
Good location, has everything we need, fairly clean. The kitchen is convenient. The room is a little smaller than it appears in the picture.

The covers on the bed are incovenient as they are covered above and below and not really tucked into a sheet.
The host is amazing, cleaned the room every day. Very nice and pleasant! The connections to city center are good and there are several options (metro and a few buses). Also the stores are near.

The metro station is near and well connected, Conad is just across the street which is basically everything you need :) The host is super kind and arranged our transportation from the airport to the accommodation and back.

Sound proffing does not exist, neither on the inside of the building nor from sounds coming from outside. The kitchen has the minimum necessary. The worst thing was that while everything seemed cleaned and prepared for our stay, the floors where really really dusty.. The socks would get soiled immediately. We were not prepared with slippers nor was the host. So.. Socks were sacrificed.
The place was decent, well positioned and well equipped with the minimum necessary.

Very clean apartment, but very small :) One of two rooms is without any window. Not so far from Metro station. Lot of small markets, restaurants around. Good price and quality version.

Only 2 of the 3 doublerooms have a kitchen, and you have to specify that you want a kitchen when booking which I though was unclear. But when we notifed the staff of this mixup, they were really nice and helped us switch rooms as soon as one became avalieble which was really nice. The kitchen was also rather simple (no oven or large knives), but works for simplier cooking.
We really liked the location, the staff and the flexible check-in. Nice and comfortable room. I would recommend it and also stay at again if returning to Rome.
