Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The part of town which hotel is located it's not very nice.

Hotel is close to City center and what is great that is in quiet zone with internal parking. Staff super warm. Great value for money.

Apparently the surrounding location of the old & under construction buildings. We arrived late in the evening, first time in Como and expected a much higher experience, especially at this Northern part of Italy.
The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable indeed. No sound of traffic and it is situated in a quiet place. Breakfast was fine as well and the service was excellent, well educated people serving you. The owners of this Hotel are very helpful indeed and may go out of the way to assist. Location of the Hotel is fine and not that far away from the City Centre and should be there in less than 30mins comfortable walk. Once you get in the City Centre, there is everything around you and once you get to the lake side, you have a breath taking view of never ending greenery with lots of mountains all around you. Recommend to use public transport which is efficient and not that expensive to go around this beautiful place especially in Bellagio. Please be aware if you go to Nesso since it is a one stop bus, lots of stairs, nice view ok but that's it - suggest you immediately proceed to Bellagio.

Nothing, everything was ok.
Excellent location in the very heart of the old town of Como. The owners are very nice and we enjoyed a really delicious home-cooked supper. All in all a very enjoyable stay. Parking available in the private yard. Breakfast is rich and was included in the price.

Little privacy between rooms, we only had one door between our room and the neighbours and could hear every word they spoke. A bit further out, in a little bit of a less affluent area of Como
Nice personnel, happy to suggest activities, and a good continental breakfast included. Big room with all you need, 15 Min walk to town.

The weather as we experienced rain all the days, except for the day we arrived.

The initial impression of the area outside the hotel was it was in a run down area of Como. Had to leave window open as air conditioning wasn’t working Shower bracket was broken
Location acceptable to walk to shops and restaurants. Staff helpful No option to have breakfast at hotel .

Very warm welcome. Spacious, clean, comfortable room, with a balcony. Good continental breakfast, including fresh fruit. Friendly helpful staff. Located close to centre and railway station, but outside the tourist area. Good, local restaurants nearby.

Staff very friendly and place was very clean. Walk to the town is a straight road abiut 10 minutes. Road also has restaurants and grocery stores just in case. Would absolutely stay again

although it was only 10 min walk to city walls & another 10 to the lake it was a little far in the heat to walk back from daily activities

Very little. The lighting in the bathroom was quite dark.
Very friendly staff and helpful. Large room with fridge, AC, good size shower and very large bed. Plenty of storage for longer stay.

There were no serious problems with the accommodation.
Our room was nice and comfy, we had plenty of space to store our stuff and chill. The AC was a life saver, as there was crazy hot out there but we were still able to rest well.
