Functional but not charming. Could not get the TV to work, coffee was poor. For other travelers I note that although close to the airport it is still 15 kms drive to the terminal and EUR 35 in a taxi.

Excellent bathroom; big comfy bed; quiet, clean room

Bathroom shower stall had a good amount of rust and mold. Not pleasant looking. I wish I also would have known that the hotel was not going to extend their beach services (providing chairs and umbrella) since it is now their off season. It doesn't say that anywhere on the website.

Location was amazing. View was great. Room size is huge for Europe.

The only drawback is the rear units shown in the listing do not have a lift and if you're on the 2nd or 3rd floor you have to wait for a porter or drag your own bags up.3 flights. We waited for the help which was great . If you are not too good at climbing stairs then ask for a ground floor unit in the main building. The dinner set up is like may old style hotels that do half and full board especially in Italy . The dinner was pretty ordinary but the staff try and make up for that.

The location was just what we wanted...very near 15 Minutes to Rome airport ( Fumicino ) and on the beach in the off peak season so it suited us just fine. The front desk staff spoke very good English and were very helpful with points of interest locations etc. Breakfast was great but dinner not so much.

I liked the welcome received from Antonella at the front desk - smiling and so helpful after a long day of travel. What a joy. This was followed by very cheerful staff on every shift. It makes such a difference to deal with staff who really seemed friendly and liked helping guests.

At breakfast: There were no eggs. Breakfast was very continental - sweet breads, a few cold cuts and sliced cheese. Had to practically beg for coffee, and don't think about asking for a refill. The room: black mold in the shower grout and around the sliding glass doors.

    Comfy bed, and beautiful location.

    Nothing, the hotel was great.

The courtesy of the staff as well as the rooms, well furnished and extremely clean. The staff had been really kind with us, and always ready to help out for every needs. One of the best hotel in the area, a great way to celebrate our first night as a married couple :D

there were no lifts to the floors where the rooms were, making movement of baggage rather difficult climbing stairs. the lady who met us initially at the reception, could be a little more welcoming. However, the lady who took over from her later, was warm, helpful and far more caring.

Bathroom was fungus in the shower all over tiles! The ac couldn't be turned off and the Tv didn't work! No information in the room. Bad breakfast service and not a good breakfast spread , very poorly! The two juices rated disgusting and couldn't even identify what juices this supposed to be!

Only good thing was the view and the home baked cake at breakfast!

The breakfasts were a little limited. In particular, there was seldom any butter, and I always had to ask for milk for my breakfast cereal. On two occasions the fruit juice had fermented in the serving jugs. It would also have been nice to be offered boiled eggs every day.

The location was excellent and the use of free bicycles was a real bonus. The staff were all very friendly.

Given the small size of the towels it would have been even more perfect to have had bathrobes provided.

The staff were incredible, nothing was too much trouble! Even calling to let our taxi driver know we'd left our iphone behind as we were on our way the the airport. The location is perfect for a couple of days by the sea after exploring Rome as it is so close to the airport - €25 in a cab and just 20 mins from central Rome to the hotel by train. Hop off the train, free shuttle bus takes you into town (about 10 mins) then a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Or get a taxi from the station, the hotel can arrange. The rooms are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. Good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. The towels are unusual -more like big linen napkins- but effective at drying. Plenty of electric sockets, including handy sockets built into the side of the headboard of the bed. We had a top floor room with sea facing balcony in the annex building, big room with lovely balcony and view.

The area where rooms were located had an unpleasant smell that indicated it had not been used for a long time or it needed to aired out. There was an odd arrangement for the shower as it's wall was not to the ceiling but open to the bedroom. Was not good design for couples where one of them wanted to sleep in.

A little hard to get to, I guess information from the train station via the bus... how to get the tickets (we didn't know to guy them inside the station), what times the bus runs, and the name of the bus...how long it takes approx. to get there....

The price, which you had told us would not include breakfast but which I thought was still a great price, actually did turn out to include breakfast, and the price was less than you had noted! it was lovely!!

Great location on the beach and very close to Fiumicino if you have an early morning flight to catch. Room is spacious, bed is comfortable, and there is a nice balcony with sea view. There is a hotel restaurant, which is great because this time of year nothing much else is open in the area. Food was very good. Also a nice breakfast buffet in the morning. Would like the restaurant to be open earlier for lunch/dinner but that is an Italy issue, not the hotel in particular. The lawn was well kept but the landscape needed maintenance. I couldn't control the ac in the room for some reason. The toilet in the room started running in the middle of the night. Only one entrance/exit for cars.

The staff went above and beyond for us during our stay. If you need help they are truly there for you. I cannot thank them enough for their attention and assistance. The hotel itself is very cool looking and is close proximity to the beach and not very far from the airport (with a car). The free bike rental is a great feature. The shower was awesome - rain shower head with hand held attachment and a large shower stall with glass wall facing sea view (sea view room). Free wifi and free parking. The included breakfast was really good assortment and tasted great. Key cards have a chip so you don't need to worry about putting it next to other cards or electronics (keep card in wall for use of lights in room and remember to bring when you leave room). Covered parking.

The hotel lobby and corridors would need an upgrade (old, and dirty carpets). Although towels and beddings were clean and really white, the room could have been cleaned better. There was dust on some shelves and we found some hair (not ours) in bathroom.

Location was perfect for beach combined with Rome, the City Fregene however is a sleeping place (hardly any shops or nice bars etc.). Hotel could be perfect if owner puts more effort in cleaning + maintenance. Beds + sheets were perfect quality + clean! (in contrast with floor + shower). Good free parking.

We booked a room with seaview through booking.com without specifying that we wanted a room in the annex (the hotel has a small building next to it which has the renovated rooms, with nice terrace and (particularly on first floor) with excellent seaview where we stayed last year. When we arrived, we saw we had received a room in the main building which smelt a lot like sigarettes and which had an old terrace where we could literally see our neighbour's terrace and even access it (room 164) and we hardly had any seaview, in fact instead a rather ugly view with a small strip of the sea you could see. I went to the reception and explained that if I had known in advance that they would put us in such a room (and not in the annex), we would not have stayed in this hotel. The receptionist was very friendly, but explained the hotel was full so she could not give us another room. Instead we got a rather substantial discount on the room price but I was still disappointed ... .

Really nice place to atay friendly and room is modern and well equipped. If this place had a pool it would be amazing but the beach is across the road to make up for it

Upon arrival in the afternoon aircon did not work. Staff reset it and we went out. It however still did not work at midnight when we returned, and our room was close to 30 deg C. Due to that we all did not sleep well. Advice to management: check the aircon before you give out the room.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, quiet room, perfect location within 2 minutes walk to a private hotel beach area. Excellent cornettos at breakfast

    Nothing

Great hotel -super location We had a really fun and relaxing couple of days and nights here- a far cry from the hustle and bustle of busy Rome. The rooms were large and modern - large bathroom with huge shower. Staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to borrow bikes so we were able to easily explore Fregene which is a small town approx 20 mis drive from Fiumicino airport -very "Italian" with great restaurants and ice cream parlour etc The hotel is opposite a huge sandy beach. Very substantial buffet breakfast. Free wi-fi! If you want a weekend break in a great location with a choice of traditional Italian restaurants -stay here.

Staff is friendly, I do not speak Italian and they speak English so it makes things much better. Over all I am enjoying my stay and recommend to all that come to Fregene

The hotel is in an avenue by the beach, but you can hardly see or access it, as access is granted through restaurants and hotels, most of them being astonishingly closed. The photo displayed in the site is misleading, as it shows the annex with terraces facing the sea, whereas we got a ground floor room in the main building.

The hotel is nice and rooms comfortable (though the photo displayed in the site is misleading, as it shows the annex with terraces facing the sea, whereas we got a ground floor room in the main building...). Nice breakfast, including real bread, ham and salami as well as cheese + cakes of course.

The main photo of a square box of windows is a building we didn't see until looking back at the hotel from the beach. The original hotel is much more interesting architecturally. Standard in Italy - the sea-view is over a road and beach concessions

The view of the sun setting into the Med through the glass of the shower in room 68 was wonderful. The walk on the beach before heading to Fiumicino the next morning. The absolute quiet through the night
