How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewThe owner is very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was all homemade or had been sourced locally and was very good with nice choices. The room was a good size and the bathroom was lovely with a new jet shower. Views across the valley are amazing - such a shame the sun was not shinning but never mind. We will return.

Verified reviewIt is situated at very nice hill and the property was quite beautiful. The room was big enough with all facilities. It was clean and gives a mountain feel with the woodwork. The balcony was on the very beautiful view of the big mountain on the front. Our stay was in December and the room was well heated. The surroundings of the hotel is quiet and clean. Nothing much to do in the surroundings but a 30 minutes drive up hills to a very beautiful viewpoint. The breakfast was kind of buffet with many different things. The brioche was especially delicious.
Nothing to complain about. Everything went well.

Verified reviewA family home, set along a steep mountain road; you can tell the outside area here is well loved and tended, with beautiful summer flowers on display. We opted for the set evening meal, which was good and served to us by a lovely young waitress.
I normally score really high, but am so disappointed wth our experience here. We have stayed in this area a few times now, and I chose to stay here, booking a 'mountain view room with balcony', to appreciate it all...we were given a rubbish ground floor room, window in front of the pathway to the front door of the hotel, and games room adjacent to other window, so we couldn't actually leave the windows open to fresh mountain air. No explanation, just 'non balcone'. The house is big, but the corridors were so dark, it was hard to find our way round. At breakfast, it was all self service, with produce from a local farm 😊, but stewed coffee in thermos flasks. We were told by other guests that you could order speciality coffee, but there was no one around to ask... They deducted €19 from the bill, for no balcony (therefore admitting their error),, but that's not the point - I booked a balcony room ( at the beginning of 2024 - so well in advance) and there was no apology or explanation as to why we didn't have one.

Verified reviewEverything, The owners were very welcoming & nothing seemed to much for them. My room was very clean & had an amazing view & loved the balcony. Great location for me being out the way which was very peaceful & quiet. Breakfast had a great variety of continental types with meat, cheese, pastries, fruit etc etc and the evening meal I had one night was delicious and very reasonably priced. Sure to visit again in the future.

Verified reviewOne of the most amazing stays we've ever had. The hotel is beautiful both on the outside and inside the rooms - many original furniture pieces and lots and lots of flowers. There were enough parking spots, the room was clean and spacious with a very nice bathroom. The dinner was an amazing experience - homemade food and very good wine. The view is spectacular and we hope to be able to come again soon.
Only the wifi was a bit bad, but that doesn't change anything.
