There were some moldy spots around the shower and toilet, the water tap and all appliances around the bathroom were rather old.

The staff is exceptionally nice and friendly, we felt really welcome. We stayed only for one night and got a good price for a small double room. It was really tiny and the arrangements were old, but for one night it was enough. There was a water cattle, hair dryer and a small TV in the room.

you can here everything what is happening on the corridor, but it is common for Italian houses, not a big problem if you don't plan to sleep until 10:00.

Friendly welcoming host and stuff, clean room, really good breakfast with good coffee offered by the waiter, good variety of dishes for breakfast, which is unusual for Italy. Big private parking lot at the hotel, free of charge. Nice small town with the castle

The rooms could do with a little update, like the fridge wasnt working but we didnt use it so it was not a probpem for us but may be for others. Door handle was very hard to move and when having a shover the water sprayed out on florr because door would not shut porperly. A lift woudl also be good for people who habw booked top floor.

The hotel was located at a quiet placr which we liked and outside area was great for kids to play. Breakfast excellent. Staff very very friendly.

Didn't like coffee they serve for breakfast, used to order it from the bar ( but it could be just my personal preference). Otherwise there is nothing to complain about!

The restaurant offered a set menu which looked good and good value but we were not that hungry. We chose individual dishes which turned out quite expensive. Three of us had salads the one hot meal we had was served cold.

Breakfast was excellent; something for every taste.. well displayed and frequently replenished. The receptionist was very helpful; tried her best to sort out the air conditioning and did everything she could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Location was really pretty; backing onto a lovely park with a range of outdoor gym equipment.

The family rooms are very small with not enough room for suitcases. The doors are not 100% soundproof as you can hear people in the corridor. The air conditioning was not very strong and the mattresses uncomfortable. The electricity and wi-fi kept cutting out. The price of 8 euros for breakfast per person, including children was rather steep. The pool size was a little too small for the number of rooms/guests and with not enough sun loungers.

A quaint traditional European hotel, although some will find rather old fashioned. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Views from the hotel are lovely. The complimentary bathroom toiletries were very nice. Good tea/coffee making facilities. There is a nice public park nearby for children. The water quality of the pool was very good. The welcome drinks and snacks was a nice gesture.

Poor quality of the service especially at the breakfast. Food plates were empty, no bread, no ham, no eggs and tables wereńt ready for guests at 9. Rooms were quite clean though, but the furniture is obsolete. Swimming pool needs to be cleaned. The town is empty, no people around and just one pizza place to eat, when you do not want to eat in the hotel. The hotel is charging extra money for baby cod, which is not usual in other hotels.

Prices in the restaurant are pretty high, and the choice of food is not great, especially for a lighter evening meal. Access to the hotel is not great for older people, quite a walk up, but it has stairs and ramp, so baggage was not a problem for us. There are apparently 2 "Il Castello" hotels close to eachother, and we needed some help from the locals finding the right one (we had gps) because this one had a tiny "Il Castello" sign next to it covered by trees, but the restaurant name (not "Il Castello") was massive, so we didn't think we were at the right place.

Pool was great! Kids loved it! Staff really helpful and friendly. We got a gift on departure - a bottle of wine! Sirmione is close by (10 mins by car). View from our room was amazing. Great park for dogs/kids nearby. Hotel area very private and calming.
