Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The room had everything you needed, was a good size, clean and really well presented. The property was well located to explore the surrounding area. The off street parking was really convenient and ensured we avoided the ZTL. The host was really responsive and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again.

The room was very clean and spacious. The host Gabriele was very friendly and helpful! The public free parking in front of the property is very convenient. Highly recommended 🙂

A bit noise from road but didn’t bother me and quietens down quite early
La Perla is clean and tidy with a little balcony,conveniently located for all in Noto as we were driving we also look for parking also which was easy to get to as you arrive into Noto right in front of La Perla with Gabriele waiting to welcome us . Great recommendation for breakfast and evening meals with him booking the restaurant in front of theatre for us. overall a real treat.

It was perfect and has all the amenities you need. plus extras like coffee machine, ample coffee pods and cookies everyday. Location is fantastic. the host Gabriel is kind, helpful and obliging from start to finish.

Gabriella the host was very welcoming and had time to talk and help with advice or where to go and places to see/eat. The room was clean and comfortable, location right in town. Would highly recommend.

The property was perfect for my stay. Only 4 or 5 minutes amble from the main sights. Exceptionally clean. Comfortable bed. Nice little touches like the little Sicilian biscuits, bottles of water and tins of coke and lemonade which were replaced when used. Also emergency toothbrush and paste. Gabriele was a great host often to be seen near the apartment and always available by phone. I had to cut short my stay by two days and there was no problem. He spent a considerable amount of time arranging my refund which was confirmed within hours. I would definitely recommend his place

Distance from train station (15-20 minutes walking with luggage).
A bit far from the train station but really close to the center of Noto. It is a quiet and private place. I would recommend.

Nothing was outside my expectations for this place.
Booked two rooms at La Perle De Notte and it was wonderful. The parking lot advertised is indeed right in front of the door. My mom had a first floor room and I had a second floor room. Our host was wonderfully communicative and spoke very good English. The rooms were exactly as advertised and newly renovated, and very very very clean. The beds were quite comfortable. I do recommend getting a second floor room if possible, it was lovely to have a small balcony overlooking the parking lot. There was alos a fullsized window that opened up to the outside of the first floor room, but it was right on the parking lot. The neighborhood is generally nice and quiet and a literal three minute walk up an easy hill (easy even for my mother.) It was nice to be a little out of the way of the busy center of town. The bathroom was small but very nice. Very small shower, but perfectly adiquate! Only thing I would suggest is that, if you're sensitive to scents such as air fresheners, call ahead and ask them to be removed. There were several. They weren't hiding any other oder, they were just there for those who find them pleasant. I moved mine out to the small balcony overnight. The amenities were great, there was a coffee maker in room and the pods were actually pretty good! Everything was lovely. Really nice stay.
