Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceFor the price of my stay I felt that the accommodation could have been better. Keeping in mind also that I booked with a very good discount meaning someone could have paid a lot more for it as well. So, based on the price, what I think could have been better was the following: Although the room was big there was no proper way of putting your clothes away. No blankets or extra pillow if you wished to sit/cuddle in the living room and watch a movie. But for some reason a second sofa tucked in between two walls 🤔 A very strange layout in general with stairs up and down going between the bedroom and living room and also from the entrance. Imagine a T shaped staircase. Again, these are complaints that are based on the price as in value for the money. Was it worth the price, no.
Very friendly staff! They were the biggest plus. Second, the location and the over all design at the hotel. Very beautiful. About the room. I liked the big bathroom with the very nice jacuzzi. It was fresh/ clean and had bathrobes. The bedroom was big as well as the "living room". I liked that there was a coffee maker.

United KingdomOur first impression at reception was disappointing, we found the staff surley, abrupt and unwelcoming. We were also disapponted when we were shown to our 'superior' double room. For English clients, imagine Premier Inn. Although the Hotel is in an grand old palazzo, unless booking a suite the rooms are modern and quite soul less. I would recommend not booking breakfast. We booked inclusive breakfast on the back of reading many positive reviews. Although there appears a fantastic choice of both hot and cold food, we found it sadly lacking generally. The hotel has a voucher system reminiscent of school dinners. There is a coffee percolator, or you had the option to order latte, cappucino etc from the staff. We were asked our room number when we did, which suggested this is a payable service. Once again there was a member of staff who quite clearly was not enjoying her job. Just outside the hotel are many places for breakfast.
Location, location, location! Very comfortable beds and views from the roof terrace!

United KingdomNothing. It is not a negative but we stayed for 3 nights in a Garden Room view which was quite small and basic with a lovely view. We added another night pre-travel and had to move to a standard room for the final night and it was much better. Views were fab overlooking Boboli Garden and the room was much large and nicer so my tip would be not to pay extra if you don’t need to, just request a room overlooking the gardens on your booking request. Room 721 is a good option (room pictured was our upgraded room)
The hotel was in a great location, very central to all of the amenities in Florence. Staff were be try helpful. Rooms were clean.

United StatesThe odd layout of the floors and the tiny elevator. Identifying the location of our room would have been impossible if we weren’t physically shown how to get there.
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite.

United KingdomAssistance from the staff is required to navigate the steps between the entrance and the elevator with heavy luggage. For those staying on the first floor, this challenge is doubly present. At check-in, the request for credit card details can be quite disconcerting, attributed to cover potential incidental charges such as the minibar, etc. We opted not to provide our card details and instead chose to leave a cash deposit as an alternative.
The location is splendid, nestled near the Ponte Vecchio bridge. It is very convenient to access the city's main attractions, all within a mere ten-minute walk. The hotel exudes coziness, with courteous staff and a location that promises tranquility. The breakfast is commendable, and the terrace offers a stunning city view, complemented by spacious rooms.
