Narrow stairs up to room - typical of Italy! But Michael at reception helped with heavy bag.

Excellent location between Rialto and San Marco -ideal for exploring the city on foot. Michael at reception is very friendly and helpful, particularly with suggestions of what to do and how to get around.

The location is fantastic, right in the center and quiet at night. First I thought I might have accidentally booked an Airbnb because we received a code via email on how to get to our room. The reception is only open in the morning, but very nice and friendly when there. It was also the first time that I received a security breach scam message 3 days before, lucky I did not respond to the email and "Lanterna di Marco Polo" informed me later that it was indeed a scam and if there is any problem to contact booking.com direct. I booked a room without breakfast, which was perfect because next door are small coffees where you can get fresh Italian breakfast or bakery goods. Be aware, because it is an authentic small Venice building, it has deep narrow stairs to walk up to the rooms. We got the room on the first floor. A unique, very clean Venetian style room with a double bed was awaiting us in a quiet area at night. We stayed two nights - perfect.

The pressure of the hot water in the shower was not good. There was also an unpleasant smell in the stairs of the building.

It is very well placed, in the heart of Venice. Staff available to help, the room is comfortable and clean.

Very small room (but is an old venetian house!!!). A renovation of certain areas would be beneficial. An a proper declogging of the shower drainage. Good to know: it has no elevator (no issue for us though).

Location is perfect, 2 minutes away from Rialto bridge!! The staff is very kind and helpful !! The room we stayed was at 3o floor and unfortunatelly there was no elevator. Otherwise it was ok.

Not receiving our request for separate beds. No person available to talk to.

Perfect location. Very clean room with everything you would need. Pleasant member of staff in the morning checking us out. Only disappointment was we booked a twin room/2 single beds and got a double. Arriving after 2.30pm there was no one available, the phone number given only works until 3pm and then it's contact via email only. We requested help with changing the room but received no answer. That said the room was lovely and I would recommend the hotel x

Unfortunately the air conditioning failed and the room was very hot. If you leave bags after checkout remember to prop front door open as once shut you need room keys to open the door and you will have returned them. Ask me how I know (lol).

The steps were tough getting up and down with our heavier luggage. An elevator isn’t an option with this property as it is such a historic kind of building. Just something to keep in mind

the location was fantastic as it felt like it was right in the middle of all locations of Venice. We were able to explore most of the districts of Venice in a comfortable walking distance from this hotel. Plus the staff, especially Anna was LOVELY and incredibly helpful!!
