Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomVery low pressure shower, it also didn't reach all the way up so we had to kneel down or sit down in the tub and bend head down to wash ourselves, I'm 5ft3 and massively struggled with this. I did complain about the shower but nothing was done. The lunch selection is not great (better off walking 10 mins down the road to a nice little place in the woods) We ordered what we were told was a pizza, but it wasn't at all, we didn't enjoy this food and had to send it back, this was added to our bill anyway (as 4* hotel they should have had some class and taken it off the bill) The spa treatments were OK but not worth the money at all. We booked a Junior suit which had a sofa bed which we needed for our daughter. I ordered the room under the provisos of 2 adults and a child. However there was some kind of error and the booking put down that my child was under 1. Because she was 9 they charged us an extra €60 euros because they put a sheet on the sofa bed. Again for a 4* hotel this isn't a classy move. I booked the suit because of the sofa bed so to be charged €60 to actually use it does not make amy sense at all! The breakfast was average, some scrambled eggs, soggy bacon and hotdogs, the rest was pastries, yoghurt, and toast. Very loud air conditioner You could hear noises from the other rooms such as doors being closed or slammed, toilets being flushed , taps running.
The pool, the view from our room was stunning (Junior suit with sea and pool view) It was a short walk into the little town Picturesque town Staff were friendly Very clean Walk to little town in about 20 mins Pool clean Love view from the pool area

IrelandThe pool water was a bit to warm. Should be at the cooling temperature during the heat days. Total silence at the pool. A bit of music would be nice. Spa treatment was excellent. Anna is another Maestro. Just that the brochure said lower price and then 30% more was charged at the reception, quickly explained the brochure wasn't updated. Well. Not good.
The peace and natural surrounding. Beautiful sea view. Alessandro was a Maestro of customer service. Should be promoted to a Manager or train other hotels staff members.

United KingdomWould be even better if the hotel could provide transport to and from the village / port for visitors without car. Also if there are any day trips where visitors can be collected from the hotel to discover the area that would enhance the experience. Also would love to be able to dine at pool area in evening.
Amazing Seaview from my balcony and beautiful sunsets. The receptionist he was very helpful it's always lovely to have a nice welcome. My room was spacious and clean and the breakfast each morning was good.beautiful and well maintained pool area.

IrelandThere was no food served after 2pm in the Hotel... So the hotel had no fully functiong restaurant during my stay. The beach was close, but there was a small hill on the way back. The town was delightful and people were so friendly and helpful, but it was a small town and therefore didn't have the range and variety of usual tourist attractions, i.e range of restaurants and shops. While the town has a small number of restaurants they were all excellent, really authentic. The beach was nice, but didn't have sunbeds.
The faciltites were excellent, staff were so friendly, helpful and nice.. Pool was excellent with fabulous views across the sea. The breakfast was also very good, with lots of choices. And lunch served at the pool was 10 out of 10. The Hotel was exceptionally clean, lovely fresh sheets and towels were regularly provided. Close to the beach. There was a general sense of wellbeing and calm. Great to relax.

HungaryThe bed was a little hard for our taste. The breakfast is average - everything tasted good but it was the same every morning. The soundproofing of the building is quite poor.
Excellent location with a beautiful seaview. Every member of the staff was extremely nice and helpful (compared to our experiences we had in other facilities on the island). The hotel itself is not newly built, for instance the bathroom is a little outdated, but the calm atmosphere, the view and the staff easily compensates it.

United KingdomNot many places to eat nearby. Air con centrally controlled rather than individually controlled meaning there were times when we were unable to put the air con on when we needed it. No kettle in room, but asked for one and got one, but no milk or teabags provided! Had to pay for them Very limited choice for breakfast. Hot food was scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage… that’s all. No fresh fruit like melon or pineapple… just whole apples and whole kiwis. Exactly the same every day. Coffee machine only makes half a cup… you need to press the button twice! Lunch served from 12-2 only. No other good available for the rest of the day.
Traditional Italian hotel. Good location for beach. Superb views. Nice walks nearby. Attentive service Bike hire available

SwitzerlandThe hotel is lacking a welcoming atmosphere. In the room there is no bottle of water and a small welcome from the management. At breakfast, the orders of coffee and eggs are not included in the price, and guests are queueing at the coffee machine... it would be much nicer to have a friendly waitress/waiter bringing orders, this would help creating a guest-friendly atmosphere... and the coffee would be of better quality! There is no bar service at the pool. This would also create a better atmosphere.
The location is perfect and the premises are great. The staff is friendly and efficient. The hotel is clean and comfortable.
