Although we mostly found the dining room and reception staff very friendly and helpful, a few were a little abrupt. Whilst we noted that the hotel is within easy walking distance of Taormina, it should be noted that this is along a busy road without footpaths. A taxi can be quite expensive for the short distance. Walking along the shoreline is not possible because of rocky outcrops.

We liked the beautiful coastal location. The indoor seating areas were lovely and outdoor dining terraces overlooking the sea, under a canopy of greenery (ficus) were spectacular. It was nice to have complimentary seating and towels on the beach. We were here late October and able to swim in the wonderfully clear sea.

Friendly staff, 24-7 concierge service, parking, great location - near Taormina cable car and with private beach The breakfast versatility was quite limited , yet the dining terrace was amazing. We also enjoyed the restaurant evening meals - good quality and moderate pricing We left the hotel before breakfast and got some early food packages prepared specially for us. The wooden furniture and room design patterns date back to early 1970s, but as everything in Italy - it has the style and good vibes

Not much. Be prepared that the hotel looks a bit outdated to avoid disappointment. The walk to the cable car to the center of Taormina is about 15 min but goes along a road without pavement (during day time no problem). Not much restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel, but the food in the hotel itself is more than acceptable to compensate for that.

Location at the sea front is fantastic. Chairs, towels and umbrella’s are included. The atmosphere of the hotel may be a bit dated but that adds charm. Despite it looks a bit old fashioned everything is in good order. Good beds, clean room nice balcony etc. Nice and helpful staff that speaks English. Breakfast was good (much choice). We also dined in the hotel (as it is quite a walk to town on a road without pavement) and this was also good.

Service at the bar (when on the terrace overlooking the sea) is a little slow/understaffed.

The staff were extremely hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. Julia in particular was superb.

The location a 10 min walk to cable car 10 euro each to get up to the main city centre taxi 20 Euro. This added a bit onto our holiday as it was quite dangerous to walk on the road as no pavement or very little pavement.

The hotel is right on the beach beautiful views over the water. Very clean and tidy staff friendly. I would have liked tea coffee facilities in room though when I asked they gave me a kettle cups but wanted to charge me 75 cents for a tea bag !!!!!

A bit of walk to cable car to take you to the top of the mountain on the main road without footpaths.

Just the vibe. Transported back to the 60's, this amazing hotel with its own private beach is extremely relaxing.

Breakfast was not that good. Green eggs and coffee from machine. Bacon was cocked… No mustard etc. From a big 4-star hotel I expect more. Pastries was nice.

The furniture and especially the bathrooms are much too old and in a bad condition. That old furniture and dark old bathrooms are not charming at all. They are just old. I belive that years ago it was really perfect hotel, but it really needs a good renovation. Also the terrace floor could be cleaned of tree berries.

The location is great, the hotel personnell was also very helpful and great. The beach is nice. And the most beautifull is morning view of the sea. The breakfast was ok.

Mostly it’s proximity to any restaurants and activities. 20 minute walk on a narrow and very busy street.

Nice beach area. Dated property but well kept up and clean. Enjoyed our water view and balcony. Large hotel to walk around and enjoy. Great outside areas.

The hotel has good location, close to the Taormina city, where you can get using funicular. The other advantage is that the hotel has it’s own beach, so you don’t need to pay for the sunbeds. There is a parking space if you have a rented car. Our room had seaview, which was nice. Overall we liked our stay

The only thing that I dislike is the lack of pedestrian trails or sidewalks. It is quite scary to walk on the highway :). But that is not the hotel's fault, It would be good to have some information about nice places to hike to. But otherwise, it was perfect.

The hotel is very old-fashioned, and I like that. I also like the fact that it is situated on the beach. The staff is very helpful and nice. Good breakfast. Thank you!

While dated the hotel retains its charm. The short trip to Taormina itself is tricky - you either drive and park which can be a lottery; catch a 20 Euro taxi; or walk along a busy and narrow road for a 1km to catch the cable car.

Excellent location on the beach. Staff very good especially Julia who couldn’t have been more helpful.

We enjoyed our stay, and wished we had another day to enjoy the beach. Property is older but charming and rooms were lovely with a fabulous sea view - staff was wonderful and helpful, breakfast was very nice. I wish we were a little closer to town, but the hotel was lovely.

I would have rated it 9, but ... the waste vent in the bathroom floor wafted out a bad smell all week. We had them plunge it on the first night, which changed nothing. So we put the bath mat over it for the week which helped a little. Still a great place to stay

Great relaxed location, staff were very friendly. The outdoor dining area was stunning along with the beach front and view. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony drinking limonchello in the evenings.
